I've been going to Sean for years and even though I now live 1.5hrs away, I still go to him! We have a routine where I bring Sean a collection of pictures and paintings; we carefully consider each and won't settle until both of us are absolutely sure we've got it right. Sean is a class act and an artist in his own right!
Sean was excellent framing and mounting some prints we had. The customer service was beyond that expected even helping us with a problem we had with a frame from elsewhere. Would recommend to anyone. Great to have and support local businesses like this! Thanks again!
Fantastic service. During the first meeting Sean spent time searching for the right frame, in context of the photos and how the frames would fit with our existing frames at home. The final work was outstanding, well-made frames that added elegance to the photos. Thank you again Sean, your service and kindness means a lot to our family.
We've used Acorn services many times and we have found the service and framing first class. The owner is always willing to spend time helping choose the best frames and mounts and often gives great recommendations for the framing. We will continue to use his excellent service.
Since we have moved to Hoylake we have had a number of prints framed by Sean both for personal use and for professional use I work as a photographer. His care and attention to detail is second to none and he has a genuine interest in framing pieces in a way that shows them to their best advantage. In the past 6 months he has framed a number of large poster prints, large photographic prints which can be difficult due to the print weight and smaller prints as well as just producing mounts without frames for photographic prints. More than happy to recommend his work.
Customer service was excellent. Would recommend Sean to anyone. Great to have and support a successful local businesses like this. He has a fantastic mount cutting machine that can cut out shapes, lettering and even achieve embossing.We have had a number of prints framed by Sean and his helpful friendly face to face service in choosing mount colours and frame styles with him recommending colour/style based on previous experience of framing lots of things is always a joy to experience. We had previously used the picture framers who come up to Melrose Hall once a month from Birmingham and were not impressed at all with their service. Though they have their place for local artists who simply want a cheap ready made frame or just a pre-cut mount. Sean on the other offers sooo much more than that!
Just called up this company to ask how much a 50x50 cm mount with internal measurements of 30x30 cm would cost & had nothing but difficulty and a lack of interest. Strangely he explained he wouldn't put my order through without the artwork which is still on order even though I gave him accurate measurements! It's a simple order! It seemed I wasn't bringing enough business to him & so disregarded me. Very unhelpful. Small businesses like this usually pant on how local residents should support local businesses and then go on to frivolously turn good business away. Recommendations often come from even the small customers which make business work. Shame their awful website doesn't work either! Very disappointing & unprofessional. Will be returning to Rennies in Liverpool who are well established & have never let me down.
Sean is so helpful and polite. I have used him for several small framing jobs and he has always given excellent service and great advice.
Sean was so welcoming, knowledgeable and very patient with me trying to decide on the best frame. The end result couldn’t have been better!
