Finding a trust worthy garage these days is a rare thing so I'm happy to report that my experience with these guys over the last couple of years has been absolutely spot on. First with a job on my wife's Audi A1 Cambelt, cylinder on demand version, specialist job - 1/3 cheaper than the Audi Dealer and then on my VW T6 Cambelt, waterpump, DSG oil + filter change, plus regular service. All work carried out within the original quoted price and no post-job issues whatsoever. I've just taken the van there for an MOT which had a few advisories but no teeth-clenching "Well, sir..." nonsense from these guys, they shoot straight and Hannah the receptionist is always friendly and efficient. Big thumbs up to Mike and the team; keep up the good work!
Recently had an issue with a control module on my car, parameters were wiped and the module reset to factory. Explained the issue at hand and that the SVM needed redoing and I needed a garage with ODIS, they managed to fit me in quickly and went above and beyond. Sorted out my issue after audi tried to rip me off, highly recommend this garage! Good prices as well!
Very good service but also very expensive. They kept me informed at every step and were very informative and knowledgeable about my Volkswagen. However the fault was not under warranty so a quick diagnostic cost £111.60. To me this was extremely expensive but at least I know what the fault is and how to possibly rectify it or an idea of how long it might last for before I need to replace it, again.
Sorry for my broken English. I have asked them to diagnose the engine. After diagnosed the car they made me a quote to fix the problem over £2000. They chose to replace half of the engine. They charged me almost £200 for diagnostic and when they heard after that I don’t want to fix it they told me that they will give me the parts into a bag or to pay them extra to fit them back. After more than 30 min of arguments they have fit the parts back in the same price very high one, more than main dealer. The car was drivable when I came to them. I have fixed the problem with £30. A wire from a sensor was broken. There was no engine damage, that’s the point! I have drived the car since then 3000 miles, is driving perfectly, starts perfectly. £30 not £2200. I will never go back there. Less than 1 .
24 June 2022 Dropped 'Bacon' my beloved 2.0 TDi CR 2011 Passat 140k for a cambelt and water pump service to be greeted with the cleanest shiniest SEAT courtesy car, during the course of the morning was updated with a couple of findings: a loose A/C pulley and worn alternator belt, both were sorted. The finding that the DPM dreaded previous mechanic had liberally used locktite in place of the correct torques was a bummer..... extra hour but hey-ho! On collecting 'Bacon' I discovered the a/c was working better and the box of bits evidenced the years of wear! A cambelt failure is not something you need to think too hard about so glad genuine VW parts are all they use! Not an everyday expense but I feel confident the work was done properly. Recommend them? definitely!
Great service from experienced guys and hassle free. Looked after me with good value when additional work was required for my VW. My new regular garage. Very pleasant courtesy cars too.
This garage claims to be a VW specialist, after having my car for 5 days and all the technology under the sun they could not find the fault after 5 days. in the end I had to take my car out of the garage ended up paying £400 just for the pleasure just like a MAIN DEALER. I then took my car to a local bog standard Garage who diagnosed the fault just by his experience in motor repairs and cost me only £300. I was very dis-appointed how they could not fix my car with all the technology they claim to have. good for servicing but not repairs
They were polite, but not able to solve my Passat alarm and find out the problem, after spending more than £120 in first inspection. They would charge you by the hour, but not guaranteeing to fix it.
The nice thing about this garage is that it is run and staffed by proper mechanics and not people who will only tell you what the computer says. I took my car in when it had a fault and they gave it a proper inspection at the same time and advised me of other issues. It was also nice to have an open dialogue afterwards about the fault.
Abtech serviced my Audi today, I booked it last minute and they provided me with a courtesy car and top class service. Honest, reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
