A lovely little place with a really nice atmosphere and in a nice location. Comfy beds and really friendly staff. My criticism would be that at the weekends the rooms are quite noisy as the downstairs has loud music. Also the wardrobe in our room would sag alarmingly when you opened the door, so was unusable.

I'll say 3.5 - 4.0 it's actually fine for how it markets itself.... It's a room above a busy, vibrant restaurant/bar/disco. The bedding is clean, towels clean . Fridge (but you must check it's plugged in!) Staff in pub absolutely delightful and lovely. Carpet needs ripping up. Bath clean but wobbly hot tap. Shower cold.No toiletries but we take our own. It wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but did the job for us. £80 a bit steep. £50 would be better..Great staff. Nice people. Not The Palace, nor The Old Hall but saved us driving and/or paying £138 at The Premier Inn in a better location. My top tip to the proprietor is to get rid of the dirty carpet & provide soap & all will be o.k..p.s I told the girl in the bar that I didn't do reviews but I felt the need this time :-) ;-)
