When arriving I thought it seemed well kept and resourceful. Having looked over the website i was glad to see that it had a quiet hours policy after 10 pm and policies to stop kids from running around without parents guidance. However these two are just suggestions apparently, as the staff refuse to enforce them and even dismiss any complaints.nnWhen addressing the staff about the group in the park who were drunkenly screaming until after 3:30 am, and had their children running around unsupervisedleading to damage to our tent, they stated it wasn't their responsibility. Then stated it was 11 pm that the quiet times started and still refused to do anything about it. They also stated this was our fault for booking during the summer holidays, as apparently only children are allowed to have holidays during the summer weather.nnWe then, having to leave early and cancel our weekend plans due to our lack of sleep, asked for a refund or something to show that the company had noted its failings and was refused any level of acknowledgement.nnAlso the disabled bathroom has a coded lock on it and you must present a blue badge to access it, there is no radar key lock or alternative proof accepted. So if you are disabled and don't have a blue badge, you are unable to get access. Also as the staff all disappear after about 8pm, if you don't ask for it before then even with a blue badge you are stuck.nnIt isn't their job to manage other people's children, but it is their job to enforce their rules and to take responsibility when they don't. As well as having an accessible and safe community space. Ridiculous!
This site is well set up for children with a nice play park, football pitch and the beautiful river bank is very close. The toilet block is adequate with plenty of hot waternnIf you intend to stay here during the weekend and you want a site that despite an 11pm quiet zone allows you to stay in large groups drinking to 1am this is the site for you.nChildren using electric Quads and scooters racing around the site past 11pm is likely. There is a noisy working industrial park immediately behind which start work at 7am weekdays.nThe electric is payable separately and can be quite expensive.nThe site is very close to the town and a beautiful walk around the falls of Moness.
10/10 location. Pitches are nice and big. Toilets and showers were clean and tidy. Right on the path along the rivers and the kids play park and field went down well. Easy walks into town, the falls and the river and more play parks good slide!. Class coffee just round the back too. Not the cheapest but worth it for the location and access to the surroundings alone. Will be back.
Decent enough site, great location. Big downside is the limited toilet and showing facilities and they could do with cleaning them more frequently. As the only site in Aberfeldy, will probably look to Dunkeld or Pitlochry next time we are up. It’s ok if it were budget, but not for the premium price. Also found having to top up electric a bit crazy, have never seen that before.nnReally nice being near the river though, and a nice park and footy area for the kids.
We arrived at the campsite at 5pm and there was no one at reception so it was all self service, we have stayed at multiple campsites on our trip and this was over double the price of all the others plus the electric was pay as you go which was such a faff we didn’t bother in the end. The facilities were very outdated and below par so the site was extremely expensive for what we got. Also the electrics were very unsafe and outdated as shown in the pictures attached. The pitches were very small and there were children using the path as a racetrack with quad bikes and electric scooters well past 11pm a certain community. Overall the site gave a nerving atmosphere and didn’t feel safe through the night as people walking around the campsite well into the night. Thankfully we only stayed one night as if I was staying for more i definitely would’ve moved on but was this was only campsite with space at the time which I can see why. I would strongly recommend you stay away from this site.
