We had a static caravan on site for a few years but decided to remove from this site due to various issues. Constant building work ongoing around the site. Lots of noise even at the weekend. Pressure washers etc. The cost to have a caravan on this site was very expensive. And there were also issue due to the extremely high cost of the lgp gas. I also found on the site that people would drive to fast and this concerned me when my gran children were visiting. If it wasn't jcb running down the drive it was dumper trucks. The site itself is maintained to a high standard but then again the cost of the pitches are expensive. The owners were not very proactive when it came to carrying out repairs on your caravan. And I was shocked when I asked them to adjust my patio door on my caravan. They had drilled through the double glazed unit and moved the hinge to align the doors. When I challenged them on this method of repair I recieved no feedback. After I advised them I would be removing my caravan I was the told I would be charged approx £500 to remove and dispose of the decking or another option was to pay the 100 pounds for them to cut the decking and I could remove this myself. I also noted they had cut and removed the heat tracing wire on my water pipes under the caravan and removed shower traps etc. My advice to anyone considering this site be careful, of the hide cost that will, crop up when you don't expect them. Additional fees for grass cutting or removal of grass and replacing with red chips for the bargain price of xx hundred pounds. Please do not let me put you off this site this was my experience and I did not enjoy the site for the above reason perhaps the constant building work is completed therfore it will be a nice and quite site. Our caravan was also broken in to and several items stolen. However after this the park installed cctv cameras and a gated entrance which should make the site a lot safer from theifs.
