Lovely place to wander around especially in the spring and summer. There is a small cafe, children's play area, Avery and lots of seating. Good place for picnics and lunch.

These gardens are so peaceful, they are one of the best town parks I have ever been to, living close we often, in the summer, just sit in the gardens all afternoon, there is a park for the children to play, the Abbey ruins to explore, a small cafe selling ice creams and drinks and the Cathedral which is worth a visit, great relaxing place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Fab place to I spend the afternoon and a great play park for the kids. A variety of places for lunch or picnic tables to use if you bring your own.

As a child I called these 'The Happy Gardens'! With a playground, cafe, abbey ruins and plenty of space this is a great place to relax for a couple of hours with the family.
