A pretty station with a wide platform and tracks. Feels like an old warehouse or some sort of religious building high much of BSE feels like actually. Helpful staff and no barriers which makes for quicker egress, especially if you may kiss your train otherwise. Taxis conveniently located outside and a massive Tesco just round the corner and other transport services too. Has a toilet as well.
Decent Suffolk Station. Didn't know it had a gateline despite it being a regional station. Visited 6th August 2022
Another boring station. And why is the grass growing between the tracks not being cut down?
Used this station to change trains, I have mobility problems.And the connecting train I needed to catch was on a totally different platform and was about to leave. A member of staff held the train for a couple of minutes so I could get on this train. 10/10 from me very helpful staff.
lovely building, but platform always feels dirty, and not really nice, place to wait, i now it is just a place to board trains but still, do something anything
Quite a nice looking, if not old, train station. Lifts are provided on both platforms to give step free access to the street. A ticket office is open a good amount of the time and is located in a good part of the town. Facilities on the Ipswich platform are better than the Peterborough/Cambridge platform.
No toilets after 6.15 , also only available on platform to Ipswich, so don’t arrive early!!
A great thank you to the staff member who helped me board the train to Cambridge with all my bike gear. I really appreciated your help. Unfortunately I did not get his name to thank him personally. After a miserabley windy ride, I was grateful that you ensured I was on the correct place to get on with the bike. Cheers
Small but functional station. Easy to use and get tickets Helpful staff
Not being regular rail users my wife and I thought we might like to use the train to make a trip to Liverpool. In booking our tickets at Bury St Edmunds Station we found the most helpful and friendly.
