Appalling experience. Wanted taxi from Shipham to Bristol Airport. Googled AirportTaxis which connects you not to the authorised Bristol Airport taxi service but to A1 Taxis Booked taxi for 18.05 to catch flight at 19.45. Didn’t arrive. I rang to find A1 had subcontracted to an outfit called Jala Minibuses. 20 mins after cab should have arrived I get a call from a driver saying job had been passed to him - but he was 40 mins away in Bristol! Would have missed flight if I’d waited so had to drive and park at cost of £130 Complained - got refund of prepaid fare but no explanation and no compensation for the parking charge Daughter and son-in-law had same experience a few months ago. Even though A1 taxis appear to have registered website ‘bristolairporttaxis’ there seems to be no connection to the airport and they seem not to understand that if you are going to an airport you probably want to catch a plane I won’t use them again
