Story

The 39 Steps is located right in the heart of the idyllic Styal village, two miles outside of Wilmslow. 39 Steps offers a stylish Modern British fine dining experience spiced up with just a hint of the Med.

The 39 Steps is a previous Cheshire Life Restaurant of the Year winner and offers a fine dining experience but at a reasonable price. The Wine list is extensive, and will rival any in Cheshire. The 80-bin wine list ably matches menus that are built around local produce.

With great value lunch and mid week dining experiences along side the popular ala carte menu there is something for all tastes and budgets.

As always, the food was delicious. Absolutely love this restaurant. So sad to hear it's closing down, Jason, Juan and John have looked after us so well over the years. Pleased their sister restaurant Bacchus in Prestbury is still open for business. Wish them all the best for for future

Great food and service with a lovely atmosphere. Overall a fantastic restaurant. We went on a Thursday where they offer 2 courses for £21.50. Really good value for money.

Lovely restaurant.Great food.Friendly staff. Good selection of Wine. Try the French Onion Soup.... simply delicious.Even though it was under covid protocols...We a party of 4 had a great time for a lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't rip off prices either. I recommend this place.
Love coming here. Lovely old fashioned Bistro for mature people who like to dress for dinner. So nice to have clean white tablecloth’s. Food is of a very high standard without being up itself. Friendly attentive staff who know how to serve food and wine correctly.
Went for 3-2-1 on Friday and it was excellent. Very COVID safe and everyone entering the restaurant had face masks on or were given one to wear. The value for the standard of the meal was exceptional three courses and a bottle of wine £55 cannot be beaten. Enjoyed ,every mouthful. The waiter and waitresses were polite and friendly, could not find fault with anything and would highly recommend it.
We enjoyed a lovely summer evening meal. Menu options are good and food selected was great value. Service was just as it should be, timely and attentive without being intrusive. This restaurant is really convenient for Manchester airport and the staff, as usual, were superb. Starters were fishcake with sweet chilli and scallops with bacon and a vanilla balsamic dressing
What a gem! Absolutely fabulous. Waiters attentive but not intrusive, friendly and not over familiar if you get my drift. Food was just perfect. We had the special Friday night deal, three courses, two people and bottle of wine. Could not fault it at all. Wonderful, would definitely come back. Very classy.
Absolutely wonderful service and food. Have been coming for many years and always have a superb meal. This is the one restaurant where you cannot say one course is better than another. The 321 meal with a bottle of wine was superb.
