Viceroy Handforth

Excellent food, but the service is lacking. We were the only ones dining on arrival and the staff almost seemed annoyed we were there. We ordered the Sunday special set meal, which finishes with ice cream and after taking our main course they just didn't come back to the table after 15 around minutes(with only one other customer in the restaurant) so we never got any. The food itself was great though, so we'll be ordering takeaway soon!

Good food and nice surroundings. Staff were ok, but a little "gormless" at times. E.g. we needed more time to order, 2 glasses of water instead of 4 and slow processing the bill.

Appalling service waiter pointed to a table and told us to go over there then to be met by an abrupt waiter who was very rude and made our whole experience an unpleasant one which should have been a lovely celebration for my grandson's birthday I will not be recommending it to anyone and will not visit again Disgusting! The older waiter needs customer service training and at least learn some manners.it is an experience I would like to forget.

The food is usually pretty good and the restaurant is well decorated and it is kept clean and tidy. It is worth trying one of the fish dishes if you want to try something different.

Great place to eat, either with a takeaway option or dine in environment. Lots of drinks options. Car park is awkward to get into and is quite small. Location wise however it is very easy to find!
