Fantastic place, variety of animals. The zoo is well organized In the Zoo it struck me that there are a lot of newborn/baby animals. At 11:30 and 14:00 there are demonstrations with animals that are within arm's reach of spectators-a very exciting experience. It was a pleasure to walk through the pathways and examine and study the inhabitants in the Zoo.
Enjoyed a day at The London Zoo, What a fantastic place to visit. Well organised, So much to see & do. Very friendly helpful staff. Such a Great selection of Animals & Reptiles from all over the world. Very clean & tidy zoo. The animals looked well looked after. Nice selection of cafes & restaurants and also large gift shop. Highly recommended
Went on a Monday. It was raining. Barely saw any animals. The selection of animals was a bit rubbish as well. Probably went on the wrong day! Definitely go when the weather is looking good. Another thing is hardly any of the food stands, shops, etc, in the zoo were open. Probably because it was a Monday and raining. The gorillas were the best thing. One of them got a bag, put it on his head and went outside in the rain. It was so funny!! Decent food in the restaurant for an OKAY price. Big shop full of souvenirs and toys. Don’t take your kids in there as they will want everything . Would go back in the summer potentially.
I recently visited London Zoo and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The zoo is nicely kept, with clean pathways and well-maintained enclosures. It's also spacious enough to provide a comfortable visit without feeling overcrowded. One of the highlights was the lion exhibit. Watching the family of five lions interact was truly captivating and a standout moment of the trip. They seemed healthy and well-cared-for, and it was a delight to see them in such a naturalistic setting. However, there were some notable absences and areas for improvement. Unfortunately, the zoo doesn't have any elephants, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the variety of animals could be better. While the existing exhibits are well-done, expanding the range of species would greatly enhance the overall experience. In conclusion, London Zoo is a lovely place to visit, especially for families. With a bit more variety in its animal collection, it could be even more impressive.
We recently visited the London Zoo and had a great time! The zoo is well-organized, with plenty of small snack shops and conveniently located toilets, which made the visit comfortable. The animals appear to be well taken care of, and there are lots of opportunities for kids to engage and enjoy themselves. While I personally prefer seeing animals in their natural habitats, I understand that it's difficult to experience that firsthand. Overall, it's a wonderful place for a family day out, though it's important to keep in mind the balance between education and conservation in such environments.
This historic zoo is over 200 years old! I loved seeing the historic architecture and the animals enjoying their surroundings. We could get really close to many of the animals, which my kid especially enjoyed. The zoo has different sections for different animals, like a tiger territory, rainforest, bird area, and butterfly palace. It's quite a large place, so plan on spending 6-8 hours to see everything. They have picnic tables with shade, so you can bring your own food or buy something from their food stalls.
You really have to devote a lot of time to the zoo. because it is big and there is a lot to explore. Lots of animals. the spider exhibition is really impressive. The only downside is the prices. They are too high. They should definitely do it for free for children.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
Very well maintained place for animals. Even though they are out of their natural habitat, the zoo has made sure they get similar environment and feel homely. Loved the kind of shelters and activity areas they have created for each species of animals depending upon their area of interest and kind of environment they are habitual to. They are giving them proper food, and their health is definitely well taken care of. Although I don’t support animal cruelty and keeping them in zoos for entertainment purpose, this zoo had specifically made special zones for the endangered and extremely endangered species to maintain them carefully till they survive. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit and corner of the zoo!
I visited back in May with a colleague and had a great time! I was very impressed with the walk-through exhibits - lemurs and spiders especially! The signage throughout the zoo is fantastic as well - I couldn’t stop giggling. While it’s not my favorite of the zoos I’ve visited, I definitely recommend a visit to anyone in the area.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
So much to do! Even for people in their 20s, a great fun day out with lots of animals to see. The zoo was much bigger than expected. Probably allow 3-4 hours. Food and drink is expensive. Plenty of toilets and free water refills just don’t pay for the one by the entrance. Lots of talks to go to also. I didn’t, but they had a full day of talks scheduled. You can buy tickets there. If travelling by rail, you can get the 2for1 deal but it’s quite complicated to claim. Info on national rail website.
