Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Zizzi’s in Loughton today.nMy mum and I went for lunch, and it was a very impromptu outing.nnWe weren’t impressed with the selection of restaurants in Loughton and therefore ended up somewhere we thought looked really nice, from the online menu Zizzi’s.nnThe service was impeccable; we were seated very quickly, allowed to pick where we wanted to sit, and given plenty of options outside and indoor seating.nnWe were asked about allergies or special diets, before the menus were given.nnThe wine and water arrived very fast, and shortly after the food arrived; which was fresh, hot, and delicious. I had chicken Milanese, and my mum had lamb. we also had olives for starters, and calamari. Everything was so lovely.nnWe were also deciding what dessert to get, and wasn’t sure, so my mum ordered herself a dessert and the owner spoke to us about how lovely a particular dessert was that we didn’t order, and gave us a little taste of it… he definitely knows his stuff, and we will be ordering the desert he recommended next time.nnThe owner gave us recommendations, and was attentive, and so friendly.nIt really made the day very special. It wasn’t just us that the owner paid attention to, he was a very attentive and sweet to everyone. It really makes a difference.nnI honestly feel like people are missing out on such a gem in the heart of Loughton.nnNot only was the view stunning, there was a garden which was visible in the restaurant, and the breeze coming in was so relaxing.nThe lighting is low and chill, which makes it so nice when you are just trying to have a quiet meal and a chat.nnThe time went so quickly, as we were so at ease, and we will definitely be coming back very soon.nn10/10 For service, food, atmosphere, music, and staff.nnThank you so much for making the very small time I have with my mum extremely special on a Tuesday afternoon.nnIncredible restaurant, impeccable service.nNatalie
This is a chain, but the manager & staff at this one are great nHelpful & friendly with quick service.nGot a really nice pizza that was a special - moderately spicy with a whole piece of cheese at the centre - check the photo nThe better half has some pasta which was also lovely.nWashed down with the obligatory large Peroni it was good value overall.nIt's not huge on atmosphere, but it's big on tasty food
The restaurant serves delicious food, but I find it slightly overpriced across all dishes. The service is generally good, but it could be more attentive to enhance the overall dining experience. On the positive side, the restaurant boasts ample seating space and a serene atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing meal. They also encourage cashless transactions, but offering cash payment options might attract more customers to the business.
Served by the waitress Courtney yesterday evening. Top notch service, went out of her way to make sure that my dietary requirements were met and that we were in a quiet corner with my autistic son. Food was served quickly and tasted great! Really recommend!
Thoroughly disappointed with my experience with Zizzi Ordered online so can't comment on service or atmosphere and would be wrong to do so, so review is purely food basednAppreciate paying slightly more as ordered, but both meals ordered were cold on receipt which wasn't the greatest start but not the end of the world.nOne of the meals Bolognaise was really nice and would have been ideal had it not been cold.nThe lasagne though was not only cold, but genuinely tasted like a cheap microwave meal. The portion size was laughable for £17 - i wasn't expecting a mountain of food but i expected substantially more than what looked like a child's meal. I wholeheartedly believe there is no way i'd have been served what looked like and wasn't much more than a tablespoon size portion of lasagne.nWe've eaten at, and from, this branch before but by some distance this is the most disappointing dining experience i've had at Zizzi
