Unbeatable way to kick off a weekend morning. Love the relaxed yet lively vibe. Excellent daytime dining menu has loads of choice, no time restrictions and caters well for gluten free diners.
During a recent outing on Wednesday night with a close friend, we were promptly seated upon arrival at the restaurant.nnAs we encountered difficulty using the app on our phones, we placed our orders at the bar, and the staff graciously accommodated us.nnOur experience with the tapas and burgers was delightful, as both dishes were served promptly and piping hot.nnDespite the busy atmosphere, we found the ambience to be remarkably serene, allowing us to unwind and enjoy our meals while still hearing each other during conversation.
I’ve always loved Tarro Lounge and come in fairly regularly but based on our experience last Sunday the food quality has seriously gone downhill.nnAt £5.50 for a sausage sandwich, the portion size one sausage between two slices of bread would have been a little bit disappointing if it was cooked well but the single sausage was literally inedible. It was so dried up and burned that I couldn’t even chew it. Honestly can’t believe it was cooked by an adult, let alone a chef - or allowed to leave the kitchen, it really was that terrible. I can only assume it had been microwaved to death or had been sat under a heat lamp for hours or that was someone else’s leftovers fished out the bin and reheated. I have no idea how anyone could cook a sausage so awfully.nnPolitely pointed it out when the plates were collected and got no explanation or apology for the poor food when I told her it was inedible she remarked “I can see that!” and my Facebook message sent later that day remains ignored 7 days later despite the auto reply saying someone will respond within 48 hours.nnWe didn’t want to make a fuss and I can’t believe I’m leaving a negative review for what was previously my go to place in town for coffee and food but it really was that bad. I’d filled myself up on a side of hash browns so didn’t want it replacing and would’ve been happy with an explanation of what had gone wrong, an offer of a refund which I’d likely decline if there was a reasonable explanation or a simple apology but without any response at all I can only assume that’s the standard to expect now and I’d no longer recommend what was previously a great place to eat.nnI don’t think I’ve ever left a negative review in my life but as a fairly regular customer, being ignored after reaching out over our bad experience has pushed me to it.
Kids meal, sweet potato fries, brownie with ice cream and a latte for under £18. Most of the food was good, but I wouldn't order the sweet potato fries again.nService was inconsistent, probably due to how busy it was.nKasey or Kacey? Was the most pleasant member of staff.
I've been here a few times over the last few years. I went for a warm drink with a friend. A few dates with my boyfriend / now fiance and then a lunch out with my mum.nnThe latest food I had was bang bang chicken which was very tasty, full of flavour and really yummy - I would recommend this meal. My mum had the lounge burger and fries and said was warm, more fries next time though!nnPlenty of choice on the menu - food and drinks. They also do specials on the menu sometimes too like 2 for 1 cocktails one day, tapas Tuesdays and something on Monday.nnOrder at the bar. Staff are friendly.nnPlenty of seating inside but can get busy and squashed when big groups are around you but when outside as there is also Outdoor seating.nnCard and cash paymentsnnToilets. Accessibility is good.
