This used to be our favourite takeaway on Canvey. However, tonight we couldn’t eat the food. It was not nice at all. I feel like I’ve wasted £50. It’s all gone in the bin.
Absolutely tasteless probably the most expensive takeaway on the island do yourself a favour and boil up some old bones there would be more flavour and save £20 quid never again rubbish
We ordered once since yummy house re-opened & I’m sorry to say it will be the last. The food taste completely different nowhere near as nice as it used to be! & my favourite dish the “AK47 Machine Gun” has been removed from the menu.
The best crispy chilli beef and salt and pepper squid in East Anglia! I have had many expensive but tasteless poor quality take aways and they are absolutely yummy! Decent portion sizes and cooked to great standards!
This place made great Chinese food for collection, I gave it 4 stars originally See Update Below as, if you order as soon as they open the food doesn't taste as good when it's been open a few hours.. Was better than 98% Chinese takeaways on Canvey Island. UPDATE: Looks like it's been taken over or under new management Nov 2017. Now the food is disastrous. Dry chow main, over fried rice, just not good.
Have waited so long for yummy to reopen as never go anywhere else. But what they failed to mention is its now new owners. The food is nothing at all like the old Yummy House. I have to say its the worse food I've ever eaten. So, goodbye yummy.
Ordered a chicken fried rice for the first time here, so so disappointed the rice was plain boild rice with processed chicken a few peas and bits of egg. That rice hadn't been fried at all. DISAPPOINTED
Best ever Chinese - always hot, quick delivery & biggest king prawn balls I've ever had. Used to use the other Chinese nearby but much prefer Yummy House. Really good value too
They treat their staff horribly and under pay them, they hold back the pay from the staff so if they don't tern up they loss that muney. I have worked there fro 3 years in total and when I said I wonted to leave because they wouldn't allow me to have a day off they said I was being selfish when that was the first day off in 2 years. Their food ain't bad and it's all fresh and the shop is getting cleaned every day. It's just the way they can treat staff triggers me.
Been here many times over the last two years and it's always been at the very least, very good. It made me think twice about my favourite local Chinese. I now recommend this place to everyone.
