Nice hospital love the art around entrance Easy to get too from train station Excellent staff really helpful and informative Modern looking and clean inside, less stark than royal Glamorgan so has a warmer and friendlier feel. Pretty flat once inside but lots of slopes up from the side pedestrian entrance and down from the main road entrance. Wide corridors inside so once you're there it's easy and from the car you'll find it easier in a wheelchair but if arriving by train it's hot a lot of tougher inclines to get there.
Ward D4 - Physiotherapy & Occupational Health are fantastic and are really good with the patient A* service. The ward unit itself is clean and modern BUT in retrospect I would never advise anyone to be a patient on this ward seriously try and go somewhere else. It’s not run as a ward but more of a prison. Don’t bother trying to speak to the ward staff they are belittling, rude, abrupt and uncaring not all but the majority which makes visitors anxious and god knows how the patients feel. Patient hygiene below par they'll get a daily wash they might see a bath once a fortnight if they’re lucky. If your family member is paralysed fully or partially 100% don’t let them go here. Complaining to the health board doesn’t help as they just ignored it. I hope someone finds this review helpful, as it was the biggest mistake we made letting our relative go here.
I am very grateful of their staff on ward A1 for all their help in assisting my recovery also the physiotherapists for their dedication in helping myself get through this difficult time, very much appreciated.

I’ve always received great care at this hospital. Staff are amazing and friendly.
I attended the MIU on Monday Jan 17th having been given an appointment over the phone. I arrived on time and I was seen immediately. Staff assessed my injury and I was on my way to xray within a few short minutes. Xrays confirmed that I'd fractured my ankle and by the time I returned to the unit, there was already a chap from the plaster room waiting to fit me with a boot. All staff were friendly, kind and helpful and I don't hesitate in giving them 10/10 for the treatment I received. Thank you so much to every staff member who tended to me. I was in and out well inside of an hour. I urge everyone, don't go to A&E unless it is vital to do so. You can be seen so much more quickly, and just as professionally by the excellent staff at this unit!!
Easy place to get to good parking but can get full on times good disable parking but able body people do park there and abuse the parking, staff are lovely and friendly also there is a nice little cafe
Attended on an antenatal appointment today. I was waiting 4 hours to be seen by a consultant. All the other people arrived after me gone by the time. Just cannot understand why they do not keep the line. If somebody start complaining harsh enough they let her in. Just not fair.
Having this hospital close to home is great for quick appointments and checkups etc.. Fast appointments and no need to travel all the way to royal glamorgan for a 5 minute appointment. Staff are friendly and great. The place is clean and smells great every time I visit. Toilets are looked after so I have to give props to cleaners they do an amazing job.
This is not my experience, but my mother's. She can't praise the staff enough with her treatment at the macula unit. She goes there every 2 months. Thank you for making her time there, a pleasant one
