What a lovely hospital nice and wide and spacious entrance .always quiet the hospital as a few wards and a dental section where last year's dentist work under supervision. Small AnE department not always open but to covid and not open evenings. Brilliant cafe on the first floor with an outside balcony overlooking the River cynon
Just visited minor injuries, due to a shoulder injury and I was really impressed with how friendly and efficient the department was . Thankyou
A family member was at this hospital for nearly 6 weeks before the Coronavirus Pandemic and he received excellent care. The nursing staff were wonderful and I couldn't fault the care that he received. I also visited the Minor Injuries Unit myself on another occasion and received excellent care and was treated after a wait of just over thirty minutes, on a weekday afternoon.
I had to have out an arm implant today and I'm very squeamish, I'd put it off for a long time for this reason. I ended up having a bit of a funny turn and momentarily passing out, the lady Andrea I think her name was was absolutely wonderful and she really looked after me, she made sure I was well before I left and checked my blood pressure again to make sure, her colleague got me some water and offered me a biscuit to get my sugars back up. She made a very stressful situation for me so much easier.
Husband has just been transferred to this hospital from Prince Charles hospital, I was appalled that the management of this hospital are keeping the covid narrative going with questions of have you a temperature or cough plus still trying to swab patients, none of that nonsense in Prince Charles, maybe the management of Mount Ash hospital didn't receive the memo that covid scamdemic has died a death, he didn't eat the food they gave him and I can't stay in touch by mobile as its a signal dead zone, unlike Prince Charles where I could chat to him and keep him company between visits, I'll give it a few days and see how it goes, if I'm not happy I will be bringing him home
Food not good and Very expensive web you take the kids.3.50 for 2 year olds for a 45.minuets it's a bit naughty dont you think. I won't be eating there again now I found out dragons den is just around the corner and a fraction of the price and a warm welcome
Had to wait for hospital transport transport, nurses refused to leave me, made me cup of tea and were cheerful and supportive even though there shift had finished.

If there was an option for 0 stars I would put it specifically for minor injuries unit!!! Unbelievably rude receptionist's both Male and female!! Been there 3 times now and not would they see me!! First time because I was having shooting pains going up my arm into my shoulder from my wrist after I jard it in work, the staff nurses reply " I'm not seeing him because its not an Injury". I then done the exact thing the week later in work and ths GP said I had torn my ligaments in my wrist so the GP wanted an x ray just incase, sent me there as they could get x ray results instantly and we would have to wait a week if the GP referred me for x ray. This time I got told by the receptionist " theres a 3.5 hour wait and they might not see you then as it's not an injury" so that wound me up. Back to GP and sorted. I've now got a new injury on my ankle which is from a bite off something and I scratched it a bit too hard and now its going septic. They are open until 5 so I thought I'd pop there. Receptionist wouldn't even let me finish my sentence and just rudely Interrupted me!! I was in the middle if saying is it possible to see someone please as I have a wound on my.......NO!! we have enough patients to last us until 5 oclock you HAVE TO go to prince charles A+E!!! absolutely terrible I will never go there again for minor I injuries!! We would never get spoken to and 100% would never get turned away from the old mount hospital!!! What a complete and utter unprofessional unit that is!!!!
