Wait times for in person appointments are way too long. Nearly 2 hrs after the time of my appointment I was actually called in. Was then told that there was an issue with booking me in for 2 appointments on the same day. So waited 2 extra hours for nothing. Was not told in the slightest that was an issue before hand.
went for a physio appoitment for my lower back and had Becky who was really nice and made me feel comfortable enough to speak about how i felt in depth with my pain. Will probably need to go back soon back pain somehow increased a lot more 3 hours after the appoitmentreceptionist were also all nice staff overall were lovely
Staff are rude and doctors are dismissive. Waited 3 weeks for telephone consult,then when I eventually got the appointment it was a junior Dr I'd never seen before. In the days when Dr John's and Dr meager were there it was properly run. Since their departure it's sadly gone so downhill rapidly. Try not to have anything to do with them if at all possible. So disappointed
Well wat can i say recived a volmatic spacer on the 13th feb 2024 i am currently in hospital with a upper respotoriy tract infection and dropped the spacer by accident and broke it i need it 2 go home with as hospital pharmacy myt not av 1 the consultant says so try doc shuldnt av bothered they onli issue spacers every 6 months so tuff i carnt av 1 so if i have 2 go home without 1 its on u yorkshire streetsurgery if end up back in hospital gone dwn hill a hell off a lot not happy at all!!!
I have been trying to get through to this surgery for the past 4 days. When I finally make it to number 1 on the call queue the phone is put down and I have to start again. I have now decided that I will have to drive to the surgery just so that I can make an appointment. Ridiculous!
How about answering the phone? Is it just me or are people first in the que still waiting 15-20 mins to speak to somebody? Joke happens all the time pick the phone up it’s that simple if not get a new job
Absolutely useless. The staff are totally uninterested, completely unhelpful and treat you as if you are just an inconvenience to whatever they are doing on the other end of the phone when you ring up. If you actually go in the place they will keep you waiting whilst they ignore you or chat amongst themselves. The service is absolutely shocking!
I find it funny how there is so many bad reviews about the receptionists yet they are still in a job? I cant believe karen is still there to be honest, rudest my obnoxious woman on the planet! I left this GP a couple years ago but I just wanted to see if they are still as bad as they was, and surprise surprise they are.
I'm surprised at the negative comments, as I have had nothing but a positive experience so far. I've been with the surgery less than a month, and I've already sorted my prescriptions, seen the Nurse twice and the Doctor once. No problem getting appointments, friendly and efficient reception staff.
This review refers to 80 Yorkshire Street Medical Centre. The photos do not reflect this and other reviews look like they are for somewhere else. I have found this surgery to be the best I have ever attended. The receptionists are helpful and polite and Dr Sibson is proactive without being dismissive. I have been impressed with the service given from the nurses also.
