A fun and friendly family foody pub in the heart of Barnet. Five real ales on tap, Sky Sports & Bt Sports. Pub Quizz every Thursday

Story

Ye Olde Monken Holt is a friendly, traditional pub dating back to 1869.

In addition to our beers and lagers (bottled and on tap), we serve cask conditioned ales like Greene King IPA, Abbots Ale and Old Speckled Hen. There are always two guest ales on offer, as well as a range of spirits and fine wines.

Our food is fresh, home-made and great value for money. Our chef has over 20 years experience and uses top quality produce in our daily specials. Our menu includes classic British dishes like bangers and mash, fish and chips, and traditional roast dinners every Sunday.

Throughout the week, we show all possible sporting events on terrestrial channels and BT Sport.

On Thursdays, we specialise in a weekly cash prize quiz.

We have live bands every Saturday from 10pm until midnight.

Kids, dogs and their well-behaved owners are welcome. Please feel free to call ahead to reserve a table, place a food order or book an area for a party.

Been going to this pub on and off for the last 20 years, not regularly since the 90s - when it used to be a solid traditional old man pub, definitely dipped through the years but now really good. Live music at times - can be a trifle loud for a small pub, but lots of nice touches these days. Very cosy
Such a lovely place with a nice history! It has a backyard garden, friendly staff and just look how they care for their women customers, so thoughtful!

Really nice and calm, friendly pub. It was quiet when we were there, but apparently they sometimes have bands play. Great beer selection, service was professional and courteous, it's nice to be asked "same again"
Green King IPA is not the best of beers, Timothy Taylor Landlord is a better option. Veronica the landlady makes the pub! There are friendly customers but music too loud on a Friday night

Went there for a funeral so it wasn't a normal experience. But lovely pub with lovely staff.
A little hidden gem in barnet, great atmosphere with live music and a decent pint!
