This place is a dump went to put flowers on the woodlands can’t get to it unless you clamber through the grass as the road is closed as they still have not repaired the sink hole the woodlands has cutting blocking the path pot holes everywhere paths overgrown litter everywhere the cream is the most inviting place and can’t get into the remembrance room to place flowers
Absolutely wonderful job done by all the staff at Yardley crem. Special mention for grounds keeper mowing lawns today.. More than helpful to us. thanks the Flowers/Slaters
Lovely walk in the summer. Could be maintained better and unfortunately dogs aren’t welcome
My Mother's ashes, together with my Aunt and Uncle are scattered on the North East Lawn. What a dreadful and upsetting shock I had on Christmas Eve. Badgers have scraped and dug up the lawn where the ashes are. Rest assured I shall be making a very firm complaint. Even the dead can't rest in peace.
The lawns surrounding the Chapel look so unkempt today with dead flowers, polythene, Christmas cards, toys, unofficial memorial vases, memorabilia and dead wreaths still in situ from Christmas. It's a disgrace and disrespectful.
This place is a tip - they blame badger sets for the destruction of the graves etc but honestly it looks like no one looks after the place anyway!! Everything is overgrown, countless broken headstones and other memorial statues - they even "fixed" a roof to a crypt by putting plastic sheeting over the top and sealing the main door to the crypt with basic red house bricks... Can't even blame the pandemic for the groundskeepers poor work ethic and lack of maintenance within the cemetery.
I visited the crematorium on 15-06-2020, I was very shocked how unkempt it looked in the rose garden and surrounding area's. The rose garden always looks beautiful this time of year but it looked terrible. Very upset, as if it's not upsetting enough being there.
We buried our mom's ashes today, even though we were early the 2 men were waiting to fill in the hole, and stood right behind us though the blessing and filled it in before we got to the end of the row disrespectful
Opened in 1883, Yardley cemetery covers around 64 acres. The Council developed one of its chapels and turned it into the crematorium, which opened in 1952. The cemetery and crematorium are easy to get to from the main drives. Yardley cemetery has no land for new full graves. Full interments, burials or scattering of cremated remains continue to take place in private family graves. Graves for cremated remains are still available to purchase for the burial of up to two sets of remains.
Seems to be a lot of vandalism going on near lawn 2 flowers Shrewn all over the place things being moved cups not in their places something needs to be done
