Be careful because you can get a very hot cut by ordering a regular one, not a hot one !!! I have bought at this place many times before and the same time I ordered today was not that terribly spicy. The loose lady explained this by the fact that I previously ordered the same dish with mushrooms and rice, but what does it matter, since the same dishes were previously ordered, the same dishes were mild. Surely the cook made a mistake but the lady wouldn't admit it. I will never buy anything there again, they lost a customer.
Used several times always been OK except tonight. Ordered 4 meals offer £14 2 large egg fried rice. One meal was missing and the customer service was absolutely appalling. The girl on the desk obviously useless and messed the order up. Refused to bring another meal out without charging me again. Very rude and we will be going back to New Joy. Whatever happened to good customer service and admitting the wrong order taken down we just don't know. The owner we hope you are reading this. You must be well off financially to be so rude and lose custom like this. You spoilt our evening thank you
Boss is rude obviously she doesn’t need business of customers. The girl at the desk is rude didn’t listen to the order properly and missed a meal out which the boss then tried to recharge us again! Absolutely Shameful! Awful customer service! AVOID AVOID AVOID! Seems to me as if there’s some sort of scam going on here
Wouldn't even rate 1 star but no option for none. The curry taste like washing up liquid, chips had been cooked in old oil taste dirty. Chicken was like rubber. Onto the ribs. Well, I thought Id opened a bag off bones. Tried ringing the restaurant to explain politely and the lady was very rude shouting and saying its not her fault I dont like her cooking. Definitely not ordering again,wouldnt feed it to my dog!

Good reasonably priced food. Nice clean shop with friendly service and advice. I've been using this takeaway for quite some time and had no reason to complain. For the price of 4 dishes for £13 with good sized portions it constitutes great value.The wheelchair access is good and there's some seating provided, parking space outside on Fairbrother st.The special offer menu includes a good selection of starters, mains meals, side dishes and some english meals. My favourite 4 at moment. Pancake rolls Spare ribs with chilli salt and pepper Beef with mixed vegetables Chicken fried rice. The chicken parcels are also very nice chicken, spring onion and water chestnut deep fried in wan ton wrappers served with a sweet chili dipping sauce. Open early 16.30 hours 6 days a week! Closed on Tuesday. This takeaway is very local to me so i just walk in and order, tonight I went ordered my favourite 4 dishes 12 minutes later i was on my way home with my order. I've aslo enjoyed the squid dishes on the main menu perfectly cooked and full of flavour.The main menu is more extensive and of course they have a delivery service. It's cash only here. They've recently made improvements and now have a 5***** food hygiene rating. Food review June 2019. I ordered 4 meals from the special menu. It's still good value food here, the quality of the service and food is still good and the portion sizes are good for a slightly increased price of £12, and they are closed on Tuesdays. Food review February 2020. No real changes here since my last review, in terms of the menu or prices. I ordered chicken parcels, pancake rolls, chicken with mixed vegetables and chicken fried rice. Good sized portions and plenty of meat in the main dish and rice. Good value at £12.Nice friendly counter service and quick delivery of the food. Update August 2021. There's been a small price increase since my last visit and the offer price is now £13 for 4 meals, the food quality and portions are still very good.
Just want to say that this Chinese is amazing. Me and boyfriend turned up at 11pm at closing time last night and the owners stopped shutting the place down to make us some food. We have only recently started coming to this place the last month or so. As always the food was perfect. Nice and hot and tasty. The food was perfect and crispy and juicy. The rice was perfect and so was the sauce we ordered. All for £11 definately a bargain. Probably going to go there again sometime this week we were so happy with the service. Family run business. Perfect
