Bright and airy new build and modern bus and coach station. Limited seating but adequate. The bus station boasts a cafe. Everything is wheelchair accessible as are the Stagecoach buses. Bus times are clearly signed on large screens.
I had cause to use the bus station for the first time on Thursday morning what a delight, modern clean and bright, customer service was excellent.nSignage excellent, cafe and outside area also well maintained.nBuses modern,warm and clean.
Member of staff is so rude. I'm a stranger to worksop and don't know how the 20p toilet machine works I stood at the desk said member of staff stood on the phone didn't acknowledge me I had to wait for another member of staff, quite rude and lazy to be honest. I went out for a smoke and again said member of staff came out his attitude was horrid. The way he told me I couldn't smoke in a certain area outside was unfair and upset me if id of known I wouldn't of smoked in that space however I stood out of the way bus station was empty there's no signs saying no smoking etc when asking why there's no signs i got attitude. I would rather walk to another bus stop and stand in the rain rather than deal with this man. AVOID IF YOU HAVE ANXIETY ETC!!!! They make you feel like rubbish.
Waited for the 22 in bay D as stated on the board. The 22 then departed from bay A. Then the 22 turned up on time as stated on the board but parked up in bay E. And was out of service. I then had to wait for the 43 instead. But I almost missed that one because it had to pull up to a different bay as an out of service bus was parked in that one and didn't know where they were supposed to go. They whole thing was a mess. The only reason they didn get a 1 star is because a member of staff did walk round and inform everyone that there was going to be a fire alarm test and that we did no need to leave. Also the busses were late.
I just want to say a massive thankyou to Tim and Wayne. This weekend my daughter dropped her phone on one of the busses in Doncaster and they went above an beyond to be curtious, kind and do everything they could to get the phone back to us in Doncaster rather than me driving to Worksop to collect. It came back in one piece with my daughters money that was in the phone case . She has been very lucky to have the phone back.I really can’t thankyou both enough.
