This place is amazing! There is so much all in one place - it is literally like a miniature zoo. We had a wonderful time. There is a play area for children and a picnic area so there will be somewhere suitable to sit which is undercover if the weather isn't great if you want to take packed lunches. We had eaten before we arrived but wished we hadn't when we saw the menu for the cafe! The food looked delicious and the pods looked great to sit in. We will definitely be back to visit again!
We visited on a cold Sunday in January to celebrate our daughters 6th birthday. We received a warm welcome from the lady on reception and had a great time! There's a great mix of animals to see and feed as well as plenty of other little trails and activities. Our party really enjoyed the dinosaur trail and the dinosaur dig was a big hit. We had lunch at Lottie's cafe and sat in a pod outside. The pizzas were absolutely delicious! We went back into the butterfly house and the kids had a blast playing on all the playground & activities there! We'll definitely be back. We had a great time
I have been visiting the Tropical Butterfly House and Wildlife Park for 6 or 7 years now. In that time, I have clocked too many visits to count. I adore this place, everything is so close to everything else, so it's great for little legs. The facilities are great, café, shop and a Double-Decker snack bar are great, but the best thing about this place is the clear love and respect they have for the animals. The enclosures are spacious especially for the Lemurs, and the animals are visibly happy and healthy. They don't have a massive variety of animals, and you can see everything in a few hours, but it's such a lovely place you'll stay to see everything again and again. I especially recommend it to fans of Dinosaurs. The play areas are very big and well maintained and best of all it is clean and safe for children of all ages there are signs on the play park that show recommended ages. I love this little zoo, please pay it a visit, you will not regret it.
Fabulous place to spend a day with your family and kids. Definitely kids will enjoy the place and animals. Ticket prices are worth. Adults £14.99 each, Child £13.99 each. Have amazing cafe inside the park. But if you carry some snacks would be great idea.
Plenty of parking and easy to get to. A great place for the day with plenty to see and wonder at. The butterfly House is HOT so don't go in with a coat on. There is everything from Dinosaurs to Butterfly's and everything in between. There's also a great selection of tropical plants and flowers in the Butterfly House, just take your time and enjoy the day. Well worth a visit. You can just pay and enter with no advance booking.
100% worth the entry fee! Staff were extremely friendly, animals were clearly well looked after and cared for, clean and well labelled/ sign posted, free parking and good gift shop and cafe. Not much to say except it was a brilliant way to get us out of the house and was thoroughly enjoyed.
Worth a visit. Plenty of animals to see. We managed to buy a food pack and otter food. Which was great! First come first serve on the otter feed. Well worth it though. Food pack comes with nectar for parakeets, meal worms and salad. We also got 2 free tickets to the Armadillo experience which again was fantastic. First come first serve. Cafe is not available at the moment, however you can pop out to the cafe outside of the Butterfly house and reenter as many times as you wish to. It wasn't too busy which we really enjoyed. Great care is also being taken to prevent the birds getting avian flu which appears to be hanging around at the moment.
Lovely day out! We purchased annual passes and can’t wait to come back. Friendly, helpful stays, especially the lady in the shop. We loved meeting the armadillo’s. Cafe had a long wait and the 2 ladies were rushed off their feet, making food and drinks, serving it, cleaning up and taking orders. Really felt for them as could have done with an extra person. Hot chocolates were lovely. My son had to take his hat off in the tropical house as 2 lorikeets decided it would make a good nest!
Great day out, excellent price and so much to do and see. We came on a rainy day but the experience wasn't dampened by that at all. A few nice walkthroughs with lots for the kids to look at. My dinosaur loving kids were beaming with smiles at the added features of sculptures and buttons. Everywhere was clean, wasn't too busy and very easy to work your way around the park with signs everywhere. The cafe was clean and the style matched the park wonderfully. Price wasn't too bad compared to other cafes at animal parks. I will definitely be going back. My advice would be to get the food package, as the birds will come right up to you to feed from the pot, great for photo ops.
Absolutely wonderful. Perhaps the tidiest, best kept zoo that my wife and I have ever been to. Fantastic selection of animals and the staff were great. Ended up buying 2 annual passes and genuinely considered driving 45 minutes back yo go again the following day.
