I had to book our dog in as a Sunday emergency appointment. All the staff were amazing. The vet was very thorough and so kind. Our dog absolutely loved her! and seems to be feeling much better already. Thank you all and we highly recommend you
They saved my dogs eye from a deep and stubborn ulcer and treated a very resistant bacterial eye infection. Knowledgeable specialists who work very efficiently, make plenty of time for you and they go through your options and make the costs clear up front. My dog is an anxious soul and the nurses looked after him really well to make his time comfortable when he was in for operations. Photo of my older guy with his saved left eye!
I’ve only been to this vet twice in emergencies when our regular vet was closed. Both times the staff has been super kind and helpful. Reception is always friendly and the vets are great with our dog. So glad to know Woodcroft is there 24/7 for emergencies.
After seeing my dog so distressed, screaming out in pain, uncontrollably shaking , I decided to go to woodcroft, the first thing they said was it’ll be £300 before we even see you, that’s okay, my dog needs seeing. Checked his feet, gave him a little prod, even though he was crying out in pain and reacting to touch, stuck a muzzle on him and said there’s nothing else I can do. Came home, he got worse, rang back, they said we did a neurological test which they didn’t and said nothing more we can do, and no point bringing him in again unless you want to pay another £100 for the sake of it. My dog went into 3 seizures one after the other, and a week spent in our usual vet’s, he is now paralysed, from the waist down. I will be putting in an official complaint
Fantastic emergency vets were absolutely wonderful in every way. Sarah and Nicola whom were both at the reception desk on New years day evening and on the evening of the 7th January 2024 were extremely helpful and very genuine they were both very helpful. I also dealt with 2 vets Amber and Alan both of whom kept me updated regularly on the condition of my dog and options available . All the staff were compassionate, caring and honest. I know that they all did their very best to save my dog. Sadly in vain. Thank you to all the wonderful people that helped to look after Ruby during her 3 day stay. A great team. Must also add the vets are immaculate and so is the toilet. Bill ended up at £6,000 but every penny spent was worth spending to try and save my dog. They kept me updated with costs all the way.
The lovely hospital admitted our little dog gizmo on Saturday afternoon as he was very very poorly. Didn’t think he would make it. He had superb care and they worked there stuff on him for 24 hrs . Our much loved member of the family came out after treatment a new dog. Still has meds to take for 5 days but with a lot of TLC he will be himself soon. A huge thank you to ALL the staff including the reception staff that were so kind and friendly. Kindest regards Karen and Chris x
I am writing to convey my profound disappointment with a recent experience at your establishment. As a dedicated patron of your animal hospital for the past two decades, I have always appreciated the excellent care provided by your veterinary staff. However, I must express my dismay at the behaviour of a senior receptionist today. Despite the urgent need to schedule an appointment for my extremely ill cat, the receptionist, whose name I have recorded, callously refused to schedule an appointment on the basis that I was not following protocol. I have long valued the exemplary service provided by your hospital, but this experience has completely tarnished my perception. It is evident that this particular receptionist’s attitude does not align with the standard of care and empathy I have come to expect from your establishment. I trust that you will address this matter with the seriousness it deserves and take appropriate action to ensure that no other pet owner encounters such insensitivity in their time of need. [Edit: in response to the reply from the business - I have sent my formal complaint naming the “senior receptionist” to your Founding Director at your Registered Office.]
Everyone there was absolutely brilliant and so kind and helpful. My dog had fractured his jaw and is an anxious dog at the best of times and all the staff looked after him brilliantly. They also all took the time to very patiently explain everything to me and listen to me and answer all my questions and allay my concerns. All the staff were absolutely fantastic at what is a very stressful time and I cannot praise or thank them enough for their manner and kindness. They looked after Bailey like he was their own and were very thorough in their treatment and explanation of his aftercare.
Polite, professional, friendly and caring. We were recently referred here for an issue with my dog and they are amazing. They have gone above and beyond the original reason for being referred and been amazing with helping us. I can't thank them enough for helping us and highly recommend.
One of my cats suddenly passed and the staff treated my wife and I with such incredible compassion. We did not feel rushed into making a decision regarding her remains and we felt very respected
