It's a really relaxing place and nicely decorated, the staff were all polite and welcoming. The food didn't take long to arrive, the main downfall we have is that there wasn't many vegan options. Such as they used to do vegan burger and fish tofu and chips but this has been taken off the menu, and it was really nice when we had it before. Its a great place for families with the outside park, and we liked that it was spaced out and the location beside the river was relaxing.
Staff were friendly and accommodating, we're regulars for a quiet drink and always enjoy the atmosphere. Our food came quickly and all four of us enjoyed our orders with barely any criticism other than to say my steak was a little more done than "medium" in my opinion but that really wasn't of any significance.
Friendly professional staff , even when they are under great pressure .very warm welcome. Good selection of food and drink, good value. Room had everything we needed for our stay not least a good bed and large , good quality towels.

This is our fourth visit to The Woodcocks. Its an excellent location with the Marina the tow path behind the hotel which is beautiful and you can walk to Lincoln following the excellent path. The Woodcock inn which has just had a refurbed is a fabulous hotel the rooms are great beds are as comfortable as a premier inn everything you need. The pub is very good and good pub food. The staff are wonderful excellent customer service very friendly nothing too much trouble. This is why we keep coming back.
We were so impressed with the Woodcock ,the room we stayed in was clean and very comfortable with a great bed for a good night's sleep. The meal was superb for the price we paid.The staff we amazing lovely welcome smile and helpfull, the breakfast was hot and plentiful. We can't wait to stay again.
Really lovely welcoming place situated in beautiful surroundings with good walks right on the doorstep. The room was clean and had everyting needed. We were HUGELY impressed to find a full vegan breakfast on the menu! Absolutely delicious food and good friendly staff..
My wife and I stayed over the 13th of August. It was a pleasant welcome from the staff, friendly and very helpful. The waiters were exceptional. We would've like to see more condiments on tables and or central areas. This was however not an issue of negative critique, but rather a nudge of better operation flow and for diners comfort. We certanly enjoyed the staffs friendliness and attentive to our requests. The room was great with adequate supply with comforts. Again more condiments would've mean full marks more coffee tea sugar milk and we did miss a fridge in the room. Overall a very nice quiet country stay and close to the water canal and marina. Bravo
Brilliant, lovely bar, great atmosphere. Staff attentive, friendly and helpful. Good choice of both vegan and gluten free. Excellent. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more often
Fantastic new years event. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We also stayed over for the second time and room was excellent. Will highly recommend to all friends and family.
