Mum has been a resident at Woodbury for just over a year. As a family, we are always impressed by the commitment and dedication of the staff, who make a huge effort to get to know all the residents personally and to adapt to their different and changing needs. Over Christmas all the staff were fantastic, working brilliantly together to create a really lovely atmosphere for residents and their guests.nThe management team are also excellent, approachable and available, and most importantly, always responsive to and supportive of residents' needs.
Our Mum was a resident for many years at Woodbury Court. They looked after her so well. They were respectful in looking after her and always kept us, her family, up to date on her health and wellbeing - even during Covid, when they were so good, thankfully avoiding illness for our Mum. They are thoughtful and professional in their duty of care. The care home is very clean, hygienic and very well looked after. The staff are lovely and the care home is really well managed. My Sister and I can really recommend Woodbury Court from our and our Mum's personal experience.
My mother went in to Woodbury Court in April 2024 for restbite after three failed admissions to hospital. Since being at the home mum has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia and has been made permanent there. I don't know what I would have done if she wasn't put there. The staff are amazing, management have been so supportive if I needed any help filling in forms etc. Mum loves the food there says they feed her too much. The girls that do the activities work so hard to keep everyone happy, moving and involved. There is no problem taking mum out for the day or visiting in the evening. She has even done bits to her room to personalise it and help with her dementia. At mum's request as she was wary in the beginning they put a safety gate in her room so residents can't wonder in her room at night but she can get out no problem. The home is very clean. When all this happened in April I wanted to move mum closer to me in Kent, but seeing her thrive the way she has and be happy there under the circumstances I felt it would be cruel to up heave her some where else when she seems so happy there. It's the best decision I have made and thank every single person at the home that has helped mum.
My mum has been a resident at Woodbury Court for 18 months.nFor a lady of 88 years and bad dementia, she is so well looked after.nThe staff work tirelessly.nThe care and kindness to my mum and me is amazing.nIf there are any small problems, they are addressed straight away.nNot sure how I would manage without these angels.nThank you so much.
My mum was a resident in Woodbury Court and has Parkinson's & Dementia. The care was terrible, my mum had 39 falls in there and most times ended up in hospital, they said it was because mum wouldn't sit down when they told her. They were Cleaning mum in her room rather than in her bathroom there was faeces on the bathroom door handle and even on the main door frame and the room stunk, we always knew when mum had been changed. Food was disgusting mum didn't like the food, It got to the point she was only taking 4 teaspoons of food.nThe Corridors have residents walking up and down, shouting, sometimes having a go at each other, even following you when your trying to get out the door.nThe carers are told to put the residents in the lounge during the day then they are all in one place.nAt night they were getting everyone in bed and giving my mum sleeping tablets at 6.30pm. Then they moaned because mum kept getting up during the night. We told them to put mum in bed and give her sleeping tablets later so she would be better during the night, they did this then mum was sleeping all night.nYou could not always find anyone if you needed help or advice.nManagement didn't seem to want to know when we spoke to them about anything.nI feel sorry for anyone who lets their family stay herenJAC
