Martin at Wise Guys Newark was amazing really helped me and my groomsmen out after being left in a mess by a different company! Even when the suits came we needed a few different sizes and these were all sorted and came the next day would recommend them for any formal wear you need!
Great Customer service as always. New suit needed and nothing was to much trouble to accommodate my needs. All done with a smile. Martin is a star and will go above and beyond, I can’t speak more highly of him. Recommend with no hesitation
These guys did the suits for a friends' wedding, and were absolutely top-notch. Really flexible with all the fitting appointments, with helpful advice and tips for us as groomsmen. Suits were of excellent quality and fit perfectly, I would definitely recommend them as reliable and good value for money.
We hired the groomsmen suits from here for our wedding and it was an absolute catastrophe! We were told that if sizes were wrong they would be replaced easily but this was far from the case. In fact after the wrong sizes were sent the first time it happened again 3 MORE TIMES! I understand mistakes happen but in the end it was actually too late to get the correct trousers for one of the groomsmen and so he was unable to wear them...a complete waste of £140 for the wife’s brother. Wiseguys blamed it on Cameron Ross and didn’t once offer a sincere apology/ any kind of compensation. The quality of the suits were poor, scribbled out labels on the inside/ rips from where they had been altered so much. All the sizes printed on the paperwork were different to what was on the actual suits and we were told it’s because they alter them to fit. However we held two trousers up against each other - one a 36 waist and one that was suppose to have been altered to be a 36 and they were completely different. We also had problems with the inside leg sizing which had apparently been altered to the correct size according to Mike. We took a pair of trousers to two different alteration shops in Newark as Mike was adamant they were the correct length but both places said they were not right. We spent over £1000 in total and haven’t had so much as an apology. It’s a real shame as Mike seemed like a nice and knowledgable guy but the whole experience has left many with a bad taste and would tell others to avoid the shop like the plague!!!
Wiseguys in Newark were fantastic in sorting our groomsmen and my now husband out for the big day back in December. They were helpful and supportive with alterings. Couldn't recommend enough if you are looking to hire wedding suits in the Newark/Nottingham area. Thank you.
My family spent over £800 there for a wedding on 2 suits. During fitting I was concerned the jacket was too big, I was told it could be adjusted. Later I was told it couldn't. They forgot to order the hire waist.coats when we eventually got them, they had sent the wrong size because they didn't have the right size. So on the day I have an I'll fitting suit with big shoulders and too short sleeves with a waistcoat the is 2 sizes to small. Big fail..
I was commissioning a back-office system in this Store on Friday 9th of March 2018. Whilst checking cable routes directly above and behind the shop floor area, I overheard an altercation where an extremely rude customer was shouting and swearing abuse at both the owner and his female sales assistant. The way Mr Willis diffused the situation, and go the extra mile of running to his local tailor to let-out the waist on a pair of trousers, I would personally classify as tremendous customer service particularly under the circumstances. As a business owner and customer myself, I do not see the need, nor do I condone, the use of foul language. Some would say that this inability to articulate concisely and politely once perceived grievance goes a long way to explain frustrations.
Very disappointed with the service at this place. Mike has been in the profession for many years and talks the talk but when it comes to delivering he is no where to be found. We had the wrong sizes delivered and he refused to re order the correct size for me. He was very patronising and unprofessional and in all made our experience very stressful. Would not recommend at all.
The manager was extremely rude and refused to refund a faulty product which I bought. He disregarded my consumer rights and gave me an all out horrible experience. His employees are ignorant and don't even know the stores returns policy. I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone and would actively suggest people avoid it as they clearly do not care about their customers or the service they provide. Their behaviour was disgusting, condescending and downright rude. NEVER SHOP HERE!
