Great place to visit. Something for everyone including 2 cafes Flissy's the best, good quality walking and cycling trail and even some old railway station still intact.
Beautiful location with fantastic views across to Wales. Great place for a picnic or just a nice for reflection. Visitor centre is small but has plenty of information and toilet facilities. Can get busy at weekends but usually quiet mid week.
The Wirral Country Park also known locally as "The Wirral Way" is wonderful, however you want to enjoy it: it's perfect for long or short walks, for cycling, visiting beaches/riversides, visiting a wildlife information/education centre, for finding perfect picnic and bbq spots, hiking from the Thurstaston part of the park up to Thurstaston Hill, etc. You'll want to get your phone out and take photos of about a hundred different things!
Great outdoor space to let children run free. Visitor centre Cafe had friendly staff, great selection of ice cream, which my grandson enjoyed after having his legs walked off him. Only downside was that you have to pay for parking
Excellent walks, beautiful views. Plenty of open space for families to play and enjoy the weather. Some permanent BBQs to be found also.
A stunning country park with incredible walks and scenery. A must visit if you like nature and walks in the outdoors.
It's a great park to visit, pay and display car park, contactless only, no cash. The visitor centre is a bit in need of some more information, but does a nice cuppa and cake, or toastie. Brilliant view over the estuary and bike hire at weekends.
Love this place. Very relaxing walk on a lovely sunny day. Fab views to Wales, weather depending but even on misty days the views make the heart sing. My favourite place to be on the Wirral. Have walked all the wirral Way from West Kirby to Hooton over the years. In all weather and seasons love the place. There is a lovely little cafe now at the visitor centre .
A good day out with kids for a stroll on the beach with a bucket and showel as there is some sand.. could not see the water as it was an estuary all the way. It's a good walk though. Parking is not free but 2 quid for all day. There are BBQ pits as well just off the beach but you need to book them. Lots of dogs with their owners around..
Lovely place to visit, well maintained and a good amount of pay and display parking. They have picnic benches and space to use a disposable BBQ and dispose of them safely.
