Very polite, friendly staff but not too in-your-face selling. We got exactly what we came in for and didn't feel ripped off by the prices either. There are great quality brands as well as slightly cheaper ones, something for everyone. Highly recommend.
I got a great deal! I wanted a single pole to match the one I bought last year. On sale for £10. They were clearing out a kit with a pair of poles, a waterproof pouch, and a pair of gaiters for £10 so I bought that instead.
I was camping at Lakeland campsite in Flookburgh when my Vango genisis 500 inflatable, decided to spring a leak. I phoned Winfields at Barrow-in-Furness who unfortunately didn't have that particular tube in stock. I explained I desperate as this would be the end of my families holiday. They called me back to say there was a possibility they may have something that would work. I drove to the store in Barrow and they had one that done the trick. Then late on the following day another tube bust no luck at all I thought right new tent here I come. I called the guys at Barrow again who kindly agreed to stay back after finishing time, for me to purchase a new tent and carry on with holiday. I cannot thank them enough. Brilliant service and highly recommended above and beyond service. If you need a professional, kind and friendly service look no further than the guys at Winfield megastore in Barrow. Thank you everyone.
The staff were so helpful. They went out of their way to help me, a complete novice about what to wear outdoors. I was very happy.
Has a good selection of outdoor wear, for men women and children. Also camping equipment. Friendly staff competitive prices and special offers.
