Story

The Windmill Dental Practice, is a private practice situated in Southwick, Brighton and was established over forty years ago. Andrew Whitehouse took over the practice in March 2003.

Our philosophy on dentistry is focused on prevention rather than cure, with the aim that our patients will keep their own teeth for as long as possible by avoiding gum disease in the first place. We feel our patients should be happy with their teeth, so we work with all aspects of cosmetic dentistry from tooth whitening to dental implants and other aspects of smile design.

Our first visit to the practice was very pleasant. We were greeted very well, details recorded and went through a thorough and pain free examination and checkup. The practice offers everything we require and we would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a really good independent dental practice. Feeling very comfortable with our choice.

I have been coming to this practice for nearly 30 years and could not rate the whole team more highly.
All the staff are friendly, helpful and highly professional. I trust the advice and guidance I have been given over the years. I have had lots of problems with my teeth because of gum disease and Andrew has always taken lots of time to discuss all the options, implications and costs with me. The practice has all the latest technology and they all keep up to date with the latest developments and invest in all the staffs training and development. Fundamentally, however, Andrew is a really skilful dentist with tremendous experience.
I feel really lucky to have had this practice looking after my teeth and gums which I am sure has helped me to avoid a range of other health issues and kept my teeth in extremely good shape given the problems I have.
Many thanks to you all and please don't retire anytime soon!

I needed some on going treatment, and I found Andrew to be extremely patient, calming and very professional.  His assistants and staff were just as attentive and very friendly. I would recommend Windmill Dental Practice, without any hesitation. Thank you for my new smile.  10/10 Thank you.

I am a person who does not go to the dentist - I have been scared all my life of the process.  I had to attend a dentist recently and I picked Andrew because he has expertise in my particular problem.   I was not thinking about whether he would be nice or not I just wanted my problem sorted out.  However, I met a kind and understanding and  most importantly non judgemental man who made me feel like I could face the oncoming treatments with some confidence that I will manage.  The office staff and nurse that I met are also very nice and kind.  It is early days for me but I truly feel that Andrew and his team are the ones who are going to sort out my teeth and therefore make me a happier person.

I signed up with this practice after many months of trouble with a tooth that my previous dentist seemed unable to deal with properly. This had led to numerous visits to my previous NHS dentist including  an  out-of hours visit to the emergency weekend service with severe pain in my tooth and face and repeated courses of antibiotics. My husband has been registered with The Windmill practice for a long time and persuaded me to move. All I can say is that I wish I had come to Andrew and his team much sooner. The difference in the approach is simply amazing.  It may be expensive compared with the NHS but the difference in quality is definitely worth the money.
