This is the best pub! We sat at the bar and felt so welcomed in to the fold. Shane was lovely and it is so refreshing to be served by the owner. Beautiful people, great drinks, thank you!!! This is a proper Irish local bar, no tourist!
Great bar. Very reasonable prices and staff are very friendly. It's not fancy but it great. They don't do food, that's why I only gave 3 star for food Food: 3/5
A fantastic pub. Just good people enjoying a great pint. 2023 update: Went back again.. multiple times.. and just as great as last time. There's nothing wrong with visiting Temple Bar and sitting in a pub that looks like Bag-End with a bunch of tourists...really, that's okay, no judgements here. But if you want to take a break from all that and have a quiet pint with normal good folks, then this is your spot.
Nice little hole in the wall, great prices for the taps. Cheers to the bar keep for giving us some neat spots to try out while in Dublin!Food: 3/5
Another of the local neighbourhood pubs close to where we’re staying. I’m fascinated observing people when we’re visiting different countries and listening to their stories. Everyone always seems so helpful and friendly. Slainte!
Presently surprised in here. It looked like a pub 'for locals only', but we were made very welcome. The guy behind the bar can't remember his name had a good chat with us about 'where to go in Dublin'. We enjoyed a quick pint in here
Great pub for a bit of craic. Nice pint of Guinness too..Service: 5/5
Do yourself a favour and go to the Windjammer. Seriously. I have stumbled upon this great pub for the first time by complete chance a while ago, and immediately noticed the great vibe and the friendly staff. That's always a good sign : Moreover, it is *very different* from all the tourist-traps that plague the city centre. Last night I went back for Paddy's day and sure enough the Windjammer did not disappoint. I had a great time, drinking G&T, listening to Irish music and to the occasional 80's classic. I honestly can't recommend this place enough.
Had sunk some brews in the Isle of Man Before settin sail to the emerald isle Sailed out from Douglas Head To Dublin port where it was said On Lombard street laid a hidden gem Where the staff an locals were welcoming The stout was sweet an music played Banter flew, conversation was made, An Irish beaut she served the bar Ohhhh, the craic was ninety in the wind jammer
Sitting here on a Friday night. Watching everyone know everyone. Some fella walking out and coming back in with food. All the thanks were given. Sons feeding fathers...mothers feeding sons.. All are fed and watered. After 16 years of being out of this country..this is what I miss. Asking for my lighter so she can go for a smoke in the Jack's.. don't stop Dublin....
