Grainger’s is a very nice Irish pub cross the street from the Connolly train station. Good selection of beers and drinks. Their menu was quite ordinary and we ended up ordering fish and chips. Pretty good portions even though I definitely prefer healthier meal options. Anyone looking for good pub atmosphere will find it here.Recommended dishesFish & Chips
Over from London and stumbled across this gorgeous little pub. Staff were lovely. A particular bar man helped us out with directions and had a nice chat. Super friendly. We only had chips but they were lovely! If ever on Dublin again I wouldn't hesitate to make this my first stop.
As a foreigner, I can't speak on how this compares to other pubs, as this was the first and only one. However, the price was decent, the food came quick and with a little salt and pepper, the food was great.Food: 4/5
Great lunch in Grainger's. Staff very welcoming and super friendly! A must visit if you're in Dublin
Liked that we could sit down right away. Good location. The bartender could work on being a little friendlier. He seemed a little bothered... Could be he doesn't like Americans.Service: 3/5

Super local place. Lots of old boys having their pints. Good time.Service: 4/5
Was here first couple of years ago and to be honest the food was of a higher quality then. This time round the food was decidedly average, absolutely nothing to bring me back again, pint was pretty mediocre too. Two pints lager, two pints cider and two extremely average mid afternoon meals came to €53 something! Money could be far better spent elsewhere. P.
Rude. Ignorant, avoid at all costs. Walked in the door with my friend, we were staying the night in Dublin. Was met with a man staring us up and down as if we had two heads, not a word, no hello, no how can I help you etc. We politely asked him if we could get some breakfast. He replied with 'I don't usually serve people with tracksuit bottoms' I laughed, as thought he was joking as its just a basic pub, nothing special by any means! he then abruptly said 'it's not a laughing matter' and seemed angry at us. Then he proceeded to tell us, he'd give us food but we weren't getting drink. We asked about breakfast not alcohol. Then he told us to go down the back and sit around the corner, I believe it was so nobody would see us and what we were wearing. Tracksuit bottoms and football jerseys. At this stage, enough was enough and we left as couldn't stand being spoken down to and making us feel as if we were criminals. Went up the street to O'Connells bar and was welcomed in and the most pleasant staff.
Stopped in for a pint while waiting on a train. Very friendly welcome from the barman. I didn't eat but food looked good. Pint was very reasonably priced for Dublin and a good selection. With so many fancy places around it's nice to see a real pub. Will be returning next time I'm in the area for more than 1 pint.Service: 5/5
