A small station with limited indoor seating, but that’s no problem for the few people that come here. Busiest in the summer months, quiet all year round after that. Good location with a supermarket right next door. Clean and tidy.

Windermere is a terminus station with most trains running from here to Oxenholme to connect with Intercity trains to Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. Some trains run beyond Oxenholme to Preston. Buses stop outside the station and there are usually a number of taxis waiting at the rank. The station has a staffed ticket office.

lovely station with easy access. is very small and only has one platform but gets its job done. friendly staff outside to help guide you to where you need to go around lake district, people are friendly and chatty and can reccomend routes for your trip. station is decorated nicely with local art facing the platform. in a great location with buses available to keswick, kendall and boweness just outside the station. would definitely recommend traveling into lake district via windermere station
