It must be nearly 30 years since my last visit to a Wimpy. Went for the nostalgia of the old logo, but did not find what I was looking for; the original & traditional taste of a burger. Staff are brilliant, very courteous thought. The only plus was a good cappuccino. Overall; very pricey for what I had.
Finally after almost 15 years had the opportunity to visit Ruislip Wimpy restaurant… there is many fast food burger joints or Italian cafés, I just had to pop in for old nostalgia sake. Being vegetarian the options were either the Quorn burger or a vegan patty which is plant based. Lovely clean contemporary layout inside the restaurant however personally I find it quite pricey for a burger and chips touching almost £11.
Nice friendly, clean, well run place to sit down and have a quiet, simple meal. All cooked fresh to order. No noise from the high street outside. All round pleasant experience.Food: 5/5
These Wimpy restaurants are becoming a dying breed these days. Ruislip is served by Mc Donald’s and Burger King. As well as this Wimpy restaurant. The food at this Wimpy is exceptional / excellent! See Picture The staff are warm and friendly and the restaurant is clean and tidy. With a nice music playing in the background. If I were to choose between these three restaurants. I would choose the Wimpy restaurant every time! Will definitely be visiting again next time I’m in Ruislip! Five Stars:
Forget 5 guys, I'll have a wimpy instead, was a bit irked that they don't call the ½ pounder a ½ pounder anymore, a double quarter pounder still sounds a bit stupid to me, seeing as to quarters make a half, Wimpy should be proud that they called it a ½ pounder. Still great food though & tea in tea pots. My 91 year old mum loves it as well.
Food was coked exactly as I had asked. Excellent staff. I am disappointed that nuts are no longer an option as a sprinkle with I've cream. I have many happy childhood memories of the Wimpy chocolate nut sundae! One slight niggle. The was too much conflicting noise. Apart from machinery beeping, there were two different sources of music which jar after a while. But on the whole a.big thumbs up from me for this clean shiny restaurant and.its lovely burgers.
A very clean place and a very pleasant ambiance. The burgers we had were delicious, ai am sorry I didn’t take a photo of them as we started eating straight away. The manager and the workers there are very friendly and open, also the place has a lot of potential for bigger parties or events. The ingredients in the food are very fresh and the sauces are home made! Very rare thing in restaurants nowadays! The meat inside the burgers was even better cooked! Don’t even compare it to Mc.Donalds or any other places. A very very nice experience for our first time in a “Wimpy” place. Thanks!
We enjoyed a very nice Sunday afternoon meal here. Service was quick and attentive, and all members of staff except 1 were friendly and welcoming. Food was made to order, took no time at all and the portions were very generous. 2 meals, 2 drinks and 2 desserts with table service came to less than £25. Also very clean and airy.
Always love a Wimpy. I've been a customer at the Ruislip Wimpy since a cheeseburger cost a couple of shillings. Over 50 years later and I'm still visiting the same Wimpy different premises several times a year. Never disappointed.
First time I have ever eating in a Wimpy since becoming a adult, over 30 years..... I was not disappointed, wow it was fast table service, there was 6 of us. It came out hot and fresh, burgers and chips were A1 staff ever soo friendly, the place was clean and my bench Mark the toilets, they were spotless and everything was working. Will definitely be going here again.
