Excellent service yet again for a wedding pork pie! No issues in recommending Wilson for any celebration pork pies in the future. Only thing I could suggest is if they could provide Piccalilli or Branston which would save me having to do a separate shop. This is only a suggestion, not a criticism. Thank you!
Bought my dog some meat pet food scraps today. She absolutely loved it! Will be going back for more. We'll done Wilsons
So friendly and helpful. We occasionally buy a chateaubriand as a treat. The butcher cuts it exactly and it’s been great quality every time. We buy our dog some bones too. Would be great if they started doing raw feed dog food rather than cooked. Then I could come more often.
Simply the best pork pie in the world. I went to Crossgates to try a pork pie from a more famous butchers nearby and found Wilsons by accident. The pie from the other place was ok but not a patch on the Wilsons one.
Milk not priced and charged £2,50 at till for 4 pints, extortionate
1.90 For a pasty with 1/2 inch of filling is a disgrace. It was a traditional pasty about 4 inch high with a 1/2 inch of filling at the base the rest just air , wage rises or whatever your excuse its a complete rip off a bit of mince and a few peas .
I went to Wilsons, Crossgates, today Christmas Eve to buy a large pork pie. I queued for about ten minutes as the pies were still in the oven. I was disappointed later in the day when I cut into it. The meat simply fell out of the pastry casing, and there was a cavity where the jelly should have been. There was no jelly in the pie and it just wasn’t what I have come to expect from Wilsons.
Best burgers I've tasted. Their chicken kievs are amazing too. Tried the " potted head" spread today, delicious on buttered toast. Is more expensive than other butchers but you get quality produce.
Getting worse bacon's never cooked. Sandwiches have no meat in. Everything is just rubbish now. Prices have gone up too. We've all decided to try another van. Can't be any worse.
