I recently visited the Willesden Centre for Health and Care for the first time, as I needed a local facility to have blood tests done. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.nnUpon arrival, the reception area was empty, yet I struggled to get the attention of the receptionist. When she finally acknowledged me, there was no greeting or basic courtesy—just a blank stare that immediately set the tone.nnI asked where I should go for my blood test and was met with the confusing response, “With a G.P?” I clarified that I wasn’t there to see a doctor. She then mumbled something unclear. When I asked her to repeat it, she mumbled again, making it impossible to understand. Only after I looked to my son in confusion did she finally say clearly, “First floor.”nnI went upstairs, only to find locked rooms and an empty corridor. After wandering around, I returned to the reception and told her no one was upstairs. Only then did she inform me that the clinic doesn’t open until 9am. I pointed out that this information would have been helpful before being sent upstairs to wait for an hour. Her response? “Well, you never told me your appointment time.”nnThe dismissive attitude and lack of basic communication skills from the receptionist were genuinely disappointing. It’s clear that customer service and public interaction are not priorities here.
Good centre , but very poor for manual wheel chair users , there's no automatic sensor doors and some parts you have to open atleast 5 sets of doorsnnModern building low tech
Always a good experience..don't have to wait long...Helpful and friendly staff...much better than any other health care centre or hospital
It is the best experience I ever had visited any hospital/medical centre. The appointment letter is clear, location information is easy to understand. Parking is limited but street parking are plenty. The centre is spotless clean including the bathroom. You are welcome with some delicious smell from the dining hall. The diagnostic centre of ultrasound scan is located exactly as described in the appointment letter. I arrived 10 minutes early and was being called by a male staff no later than my appointment time and every procedure was well explained. Most out of expected was this is the only place to offer warm gel usually freezing from fridge for ultrasound scan! How easy to implement but so thoughtful of the staff to arrange this from a customer point of view. I’m very happy to visit here again.
I haven't gone in for my appointment yet, but I felt obliged to leave this review whilst waiting because the lady behind the reception was honestly one of the loveliest receptionists I've ever met. I work in customer service myself and try my hardest to give off the same cheerful energy with my customers so it's lovely to be on the receiving end. She really made my morning. Unfortunately I don't know her name but she was working today 8/5/24 in the diagnostics reception. Really warm and welcoming. Exactly what you want when walking into a medical centre, which at times can be daunting.
