Had a really lovely time at wildwood, Epping tonight, was greeted by friendly staff, our waitress was professional and gave honest advice on the menu. It was nice to see the manager paying attention to all the customers in a relaxed, non rushed atmosphere. Starters and mains were served promptly, cooked has ordered, good portions and well presented. Desserts not only look good but taste good too. Good vegetarian options available for all courses. Great selection of drinks available. Toilets are clean. Well worth a visit.
Allround top place! Great and friendly service and food was excellent. Great place to go with kids as the have loads of space and very child friendly. Had the Philly Cheese Steak pizzas, baked brie, rissoto and the ribs. All excellent!
Firstly, absolutely amazing service. What a wonderful team, attentive, friendly and overall what any restaurant should aspire to. I would be tempted to go back just for the service. My daughter had bolognese, very tasty, not over seasoned but still full of flavour. Cob salad was light but still with enough substance to be filling My gripe is, I ordered the tiger prawns for starters and they were not tiger prawn by any standard. The team removed the item from my bill with no fuss. My expectations is, if I order something for the menu that I receive what I have ordered.
Had a lovely meal tonight at Wildwood with the family. Food was great but just as important the service was exceptional. We were served by Madeline who was warm and friendly throughout and she greatly enhanced our experience. Excellent customer service and we look forward to visiting again. Kid-friendliness: Great options for the kids and well looked after. Madeline went above and beyond and made sure the kids had some fresh candy floss, which they loved! Thank you!
Gigantic slim crust pizza's great. Calm and but very sociable atmosphere. There is space to talk and feel that your table is more private. Yet the atmosphere is not too noisy. Parking: Restaurant is based in the High Street of Epping. There are parking bays to park at in the day and night. These are free. Although you would have to use car parks down St John's rd or off of there on a Monday market day, as the stall holders take up the spaces.
I've not visited Wildwood for a long time. So l didn't know what to expect. I ordered chicken burger and chips, followed by apple and Berry crumble. I must say l thoroughly enjoyed my food very tasty. The waitress was very nice, nothing was too much trouble. I'll definitely be making another visit.Food: 5/5
The online system to pre order from the christmas menu was difficult to navigate. The food when it arrived was excellent quality, however, the reason for the low marking was the very long wait in between courses, the overall length of time at the restaurant was just under 3 hours! The restaurant was also cold with some guests wearing coats.
The table booking was limited to an hour and a half. However even only having a main and a desert it wasn't possible to finish on time due to very slow service in a half empty restaurant. One burger arrived with no crispy bacon. A server brought some definitely not crispy bacon on a plate to add at the table. No dedicated parking and parking anywhere nearby is a nightmare. Disappointing.
Lovely interior and location. Unfortunately the food is a hit and miss. I got the penne arrabiata and there was a ridiculous amount of garlic in there - huge chunks of it visible in the sauce. Sides were mediocre and service was slow. Probably won’t return.
Lovely meal. I particularly enjoyed my starter which was mozzarella bread with caramelised onion. Vegetarian options: I had the spinach and egg pizza. It was OK.
