Went to the Isle of white by Wightlink and used the web site to book tickets nice and easy to use. Got to the terminal and sailed through excuse the pun staff are helpful as we had a dog and luggage can't fault it as it was plain sailing all the way! In all an enjoyable process there and back. Thank you.
Good service between Portsmouth to Fishbourne. We had a nice experience all the way through booking and the journey.
Super easy transition from train to Ferry. Very impressed how straightforward everything was. Lovely crossing and will be doing this again
Wight Link Ferry exceeded expectations with impeccable service. Departures were punctual, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Onboard announcements were articulate and easy to comprehend, enhancing overall communication. A commendable ferry choice for seamless travel, combining efficiency and clarity for a delightful journey.
Nice place overall. All the information display are perfect. Ample seating arrangement with luggage to park inside the ferry. You can also go to the top of the ferry to enjoy sea view.
Reliable ferry service across the Solent between Portsmouth or Lymington to the Isle of Wight, Additionally there's a Catermeran service too for foot passengers that's a pretty quick option. Ferries are well-kept clean and have plenty of refreshments to offer on the crossing. Staff are all polite and helpful too. I always look forward to a trip on the ferry!
Very expensive with a poor timetable. The staff are lovely and try to help with good humour but they are let down by money grabbing senior management and shareholdings thousands of miles away that don't care about this vital lifeline to the IOW community and the tourists they rely on for the economy. The government should insist on minimum service levels, ferry frequency and timetable including late night ferries. It is a monopoly due to the pier and Portsmouth harbour berths it should be regulated as such.
Great crossing, nice snacks. Recommend bacon baps. The only negative was a very rude customer service guy, Isle of Wight side. We asked him could we board early if possible, he said to queue, then refused us on and laughed at us. Terrible service off him. I only wished I'd had his name to report him.
It's great fun taking the catamaran to the Isle of Wight. Recently we've found it simpler and far cheaper to travel as foot passengers and leave the car on the mainland. It's easy to book and with discounts for various groups it's a reasonable price too. The boats are well looked after and have never been too busy when we've used them.
Has changed a lot since I last used wightlink. There are now barriers inside both terminals rather than scanning tickets as people are boarded. I'd assume this means you actually have to be there 30 mins before. Staff are always friendly and helpful
