Lovely smooth trip to Ryde and back to Portsmouth. Lots of space. You can take your bicycle on the ferry as well. If you are early, they'll let you get on if there is space. Very friendly and helpful service.
Overall, an impressive experience. Although, as I was in a rush, I did find it difficult to find the entrance to the Whitelink service on the Portsmouth side. The weather was awful but the crossing was smooth that was both ways in a day. Yes, it is a brilliant service. Thanks.
Great quick service. Sit at the top in good weather! Tip: If you are early for your booked crossing; they will let you on earlier ones.
At Wight link again. Convenient location. Quick and easy from the Isle of Wight to Portsmouth. Lots of parking and sufficient waiting area. The great thing about the Wight link fast cat is that the train service for the Island starts here. Pitty there are reduced sailings since covid
Frequent and efficient ferry service linking the Island to the mainland, the catamaran that I was in was spacious and I even got on the "sun deck" on one trip which made the short journey pleasant with jacket warmly zipped up!
The fare for Wightlink Ferries is highly volatile, and can fluctuate greatly depending on the time of day or night. This can make it difficult for travelers to plan their journeys in advance and can be frustrating for those who are looking for affordable travel options. In fact, the cost of a return ferry ticket with Wightlink Ferries can often be more expensive than a return flight from Heathrow to Morocco. This is a staggering difference, considering the distance and duration of these journeys. The fluctuation in the fares throughout the day and evening is also nonsensical. It's not uncommon to see fares change by significant amounts within a matter of hours, which can make it difficult to budget for travel expenses. Overall, while Wightlink Ferries does offer a convenient service for those looking to travel between the Isle of Wight and the mainland, it is unfortunately one of the most expensive options out there. If you're looking for affordable travel options, it's worth exploring other alternatives
Expensive . sturdy boats so more likely to be running on bad weather. But expensive and unwelcoming
Attended the ferry terminal and pier on work related stuff, however have used the fastcat service previously. Fast and efficient with direct service to Portsmouth.
Best way by car to the isle of Wight, roll on and roll off ferry, dog friendly area in the passenger area, no hassle travel!!!
Very good service from the staff that I spoke to. Simple crossing with no problems
