This is a large store with a good selection of products. I have been doing renovations on my house and have bought most of the materials I needed from here Not the best selection of tools, but they have a selection that covers most jobs at a pinch. They have a kitchen fitting section but i haven't used it. Lots of parking, fair prices, good opening hours and really nice staff.
Can usually get what you need, being able to check stock on the website and having late opening really helps!
Good place to spend an hour wandering round, plenty of ideas for updating kitchens/bathrooms. Reasonable prices. Excellent parking polite and helpful assistants
Wickes in Hinckley, located just on the outskirts of town, has a large variety of building and garden materials and products for builders and the weekend diy jobs. If, like me, you dislike B&Q, then wickes is a better alternative. There is lots of parking for vans and cars, great for loading etc.
Visited in early July 2020. The store has a one way around policy, there were markings on the floor to show 2 metres. There were lots of staff around to help. The tills had lots of space between and there was an area to put your purchases while being scanned. I felt Covid secure. They had the products I wanted in stock, paint and filler.
Social distancing really easy to follow, store laid out very well, there was a woman at the door who was informative and asked what you wanted so she could tell you what they had. Really good service from her. I would have given 5 stars but the woman at the till was a bit rude and could have easily asked us to move rather than telling us. Maybe have a sign for till etiquette so we know what to expect and arnt guessing.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I called them up because I couldn't reserve an item and they were happy to put it aside with my click and collect order. I'll definitely be going back again
