I can never get an appointment. I have rung up at 8am, waited in the queue for up to 30 minutes to then be told there are no appointments for that day. If you then use the automated system it tells you that their are appointments available and will ask if you want to book it.  It usually says the next appointment is in 10 or 20 minutes. 
I can't get up to Whitemoor in time so if I think it's important I have to travel to Derby and go to the drop in center.

This booking irregularly isn't a one off incident either which makes it even stranger.  How can you say there are no appointments when your automated system is still giving them out?
I guess it's a case of getting past the very frosty receptionist but I've never managed it myself.

All I can say is bring back Green Lane Surgery!

Awful just been told my smear results have been lost hospital hasn't received them at all, not once was I given an apology now what if something is wrong it's the surgery fault!!!! I have a child to think about now I've got to wait till another couple of weeks to be able to re do a smear which is painful enough then what if it gets lost where the excuse again, disgusting that's what I will complain and am taking this further sure This morning programme will love this

I decided to call in to make an appointment as it was a Monday morning I knew the telephone lines would be busy . The receptionist was alittle frosty I haven't been to the surgery in over a year and my memory says she was the same back then .
I asked for a Doctor's appointment as I didn't want to see the nurse I was given  an appointment  that day I couldn't make it and I felt it wasn't urgent,  the next day was offered  with a choice of times.
The doctor was pleasant listened to me and he arranged blood tests. 
It was stress free, good response not over crowded in the very clean waiting area . 
To be honest couldn't fault my experience , my advice to the frosty lady maybe smile and look like you enjoy your job you are the one letting the side down ..

I have never had any complaints at the Whitemoor Medical Centre. The staff are helpful and the doctors are excellent. Providing you don't mind which doctor you see, you can always get an appointment within a short time.
