Excellent treatment of veterans. A good meeting place and memorials and they host memorial services so we can pay our respects and remember them.
Rettendon car boot sale held here. Great atmosphere, good variety, very well organised. Excellent food and drink available from the tearoom on Saturday and the tent on Sunday. Much busier on Sundays. Lovely surroundings and most of the money from the boot sale goes to military charities. Could do with more toilets. Sadly the boot sale closed at the end of the season in 2021.
Beautiful place. A place to reflect and relax. Wonderful tribute to our armed forces. Please visit.
Pluses about the use of this area as a boot fair.... opens later, for all those that tend to be lazy on the weekends.... still able to grab a decent bargain even by 11am!! The site itself Is a lot cleaner and tidier then others in the surrounding area. The boot fair itself isn’t massive and does not take hours to get round again like some others. The stall set ups and organisation of the event is very clear and works. So big thumbs up to that. One row of traders and a one way system again that works well. Isles are nice and easy to get round at your leisure. Lots of decent children’s toys managed to pick up a few extra bits for my sons birthday for less then a fiver!! So really pleased with that. Traders are polite, one trader held on to my bits so I was able to walk round without carrying bags and bags of stuff. Then I just ran back to collect once I had finished. The porta loo’s on site were surprisingly clean and tidy. They had an attendant there cleaning doors and handles down and checking the toilets after every use. There was ample amounts of hand sanitiser, toilet roll and paper towels inside the toilets and working washing facilities where you was able to wash your hands. Very impressed with how clean the facilities was. Would definitely recommend this boot fair to anyone especially if the weather is pleasant... then your winning!
This is a great boot sale, there are lots of sellers with a great variety of items. Plenty of great bargains. Its layout the best I've ever come across. I was also very impressed with their memorial to the armed forces. Highly recommend as after one visit I guarantee you will go back time and again. Big thumbs up for White House Farm.
I would say lazy bones is one of the more organised and cleaner boot sales. Can get some good little gems here. It’s a bit hit and miss like most of the Boot sales. You never know what you might get or see at any of them. Stall owners seem a bit more polite, parking a little better here with no big holes and lumps to ruin your car. If you like people who are genuine but have manors towards others this is the boot sale for you.
When to military vehicles display, but didn't go in as £30 for two people, wasn't that interested, just thought might be a couple of hours wander
One of the best boot sale enjoying visiting sadly is closed
Great big boot sale. Loads to see. Lots of parking. Spend hours walking around. Nicely organised vehicle exit, clearly marked. And only a £1 entry for cars. Got myself afew bargains.
Wow so impressed with this bootsale and the people that run it are amazing , very clear one way directions all round and the toilets are 110% spot on , there are ladies cleaning every toilet, doors and handles after a person has used it , all I can say is I would highly recommend, I've been to a few booties these are by far the best
