Welcome to the online home of The White Lion, Childer Thornton. Here you will find all of the latest information, opening hours and the very latest offers. In the summer months, you can enjoy our enclosed beer garden and let the children play in the outdoor play area. Don't forget to leave some room for our homemade and traditional tasty food! Sue, Ken and all of their team will always give you a warm welcome here at The White Lion. Food is served Monday - Thursday 12 - 8 Friday and Saturday 12 - 9 and Sundays 12 - 6.

Such a lovely warm cosy place to pop in for a drink or an impromptu lunch. Food is amazing, never had a bad meal here. Staff are great and attentive.
Lovely country pub. Good menu with reasonable pricing, gorgeous outdoor sitting area with flower tubs on each table. Play frame and little slide for the kids. Selection of specials advertised. Six real ales on the bar.

Just went for lunch today, couldn't have been made more welcome. After not going for three months, really missed the place. The food is always fantastic, and Ken and the staff always so friendly. Nothing to much trouble for them.
Fantastic service, covid safe and delicious food. Highly recommend.
