I had my little ones 1st Birthday party in the function room upstairs today and it was absolutely brilliant. Such a great space to have all to yourself and everyone said how nice it was. Staff were helpful with booking and letting me set up the night before and the cost was really reasonable. We’ll be back for the next party for sure! Thank you x
We had a wonderful time at Old Hall Farm. The staff were amazing and so friendly. The food was great value for money. We were a party of 3 and we all enjoyed our Starters, Mains and Desserts. The fact we cleaned our plates showed how delicious the good was. There was an excellent choice of drinks available and again were great value. The bar and restaurant areas were clean and welcoming.
I would recommend avoiding this place and going somewhere else. We ordered 2 mixed grills, both were missing mushrooms one was missing a pork steak which was substituted with chicken and the other one had a pork steak which was infact a thick piece of bacon. The lamb chop wasn't even cooked and when I confronted the manager about our concerns she was as helpful as an ash tray on a motorbike. If we weren't forced to pay before receiving the food we wouldn't have paid.
Great experience today, got a table straight away even though it looked busy plus being a Sunday. I didn’t have to wait to be served and headed straight for the carvery, food was delicious and cake was amazing, staff all friendly and place has a nice chilled atmosphere. We’ll be back!
First off I want to say staff were lovely, helpful and plenty about if anything was needed. Asked us a few times if food was ok and collected plates in a time manner, so thank you! The tables could be better prepared, there wasn't enough forks or serviettes and no salt and pepper on our table, but when asked for it was brought to us promptly. Food wise, I had the brie bites and carvery. The brie bites I recommend, piping hot, cheese melted fantastically and the caramelized onion with it was delicious however maybe a bigger pot because the brie bites didn't even fit in the bowl. Carvery was nice, meat was juicy and flavoursome, veg selection was good with mash, roast potatoes, dauphinoise potatoes, carrots and more, however the gravy for me lacked flavour, was abit bland and the Yorkshire puddings were more flake and airy than I'd like. Price wise, not bad £12.75 for a large carvery and it is a decent size plate. The thing to knock it down, as I had my neice and nephew with me was the play areas. The indoor one is severely lacking in decent options so when it rained there were kids about the place bored, and the outside is just a single wooden structure with slide. Maybe upgrading this for more entertainment would be nice. Overall 4/5
Myself and my family booked for a table and we’re seated straight away. We all ordered a large carvery which we all enjoyed and would definitely be returning in the future.
Pub was reasonably busy, no light bites, sandwiches or baguettes available. The first orders for the table came in about 15 mins, the last of the main meals came about 40-45 minutes after ordering. Plates were not cleared prior to next courses coming out. When it eventually arrived the food was reasonable but the service left a lot to be desired, it was poor at best.
Very enjoyable experience. Party of 8 family members booked for 3pm.Table was ready for us on arrival, menu had good choices, carvery station food was great and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely come back
Impressive service from start to finish. Excellent manner displayed POS is crucial in securing gratuity before dining. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. Elderly companion appreciated stellar assistance at carvery. Quality of Sunday Roast on offer beckons to become a firm favourite on our dining calendar.
Very cold and draughty by the door. Staff were all polite. Online app did not allow 1/2 pints to be ordered. Young lad fixed that while we were there. Food was OK, cooked nicely. Well presented, but service to replace depleted carvery items was slow.
