Just the right location as we had a wedding reception in walking distance Room tidy, although a fan would be a good idea as it was very hot. Although breakfast was not included it was a nice surprise to find a small fridge with orange juice and milk in it, plus 2 bowls and a selection of cereals. I'd stay again
This is without a doubt one of the best pubs ever. A varied and friendly clientele, the landlord and landlady are an absolute delight and nothing is too much trouble. I can't recommend this place enough.
Great pub for the football , friendly staff and good beer 5*****
Barstaff could afford a slightly friendlier demeanorRooms: 5/5
Nice comfortable room, bit noisy on a Saturday night. No food in the pub, but plenty of other options in Fakenham
I stayed in the flat, I would not recommend for £110 a night. Not the cleanest, smelled a bit mouldy, there were ants and they forgot to turn on the heating in the morning we checked out.
Room for two above pub. Bathroom located in the end of corridor. In the end of July '20 situation related to social distancing obliged owners to only accept one guest, so i havent any inconvenience. Rooms windows faced to the street so it might be bit noisy. In the room is TV, wi-fi password you can ask at the reception, small fridge. As building is old the level of the floor in the room is uneven funny part... Carpark is at the back of the garden. If you are not fussy and need place to stay over night is not bad option. Good convenient location! Lidl is in a 1 min walk away.
Simple clean room, basic facilities but a very reasonable price. Simple breakfast provided in the room, perfectly adequate.
Quiet on a weekday, but pool and a fire.
Like entering a time warp. "1986 called, they want their pub back..." It is fair to say that this is not the most sophisticated of venues and is far from the cleanest boozer I have ever set foot in. That being said the group I was part of ended up having a laugh here due to the retro feel non intentional I'm sure and some very entertaining karaoke. In an age if identikit chain pubs and sterile "up-market" bars this is a beacon of the boozer of yester year, complete with faded décor and interesting clientele...oh, and there's a pool table too.
