Visited for a Sunday carvery as hadn’t indulged in one for some time. It’s a nice pub and service was good. There was a selection of 3 roasts available, beef, pork and turkey of which a generous amount is provided by the cook. There was a good selection of veg including cauliflower and cheese, carrots, peas, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. I’ve downgraded to 4 stars as I was disappointed with the gravy with was very runny and definitely needed thickening up. In addition the plates provided were rather small meaning that if you wanted a selection of what was on offer you essentially had to create a mountain on your plate which made eating it rather tricky. Larger plates would make for a far more pleasant eating experience. Decent value for money at £12.95 for 1 course as of 22/05/2023
Booked for Sunday lunch with family that had come to visit us, my nephew is autistic and doesn’t really eat anything. I mentioned this when booking the table and the staff immediately went out of there way to try to accommodate and really wanted to try to get something for him, when we arrived they handed me a lovely chocolate cake as I had said that was pretty much all he would eat. thought this was really thoughtful and such a nice touch, lunch was delicious and enjoyed by all. Thank you so much for going out of your way to make our visit enjoyable.
It was warmer outside than it was inside. some of the veg was cold. However, it was a welcoming place, with friendly staff. Very affordable and generous portions.Service: 5/5
Lovely staff and atmosphere, liked the music choice behind the bar but absolutely loved chef Kaiya’s street food…. and his homemade chilli sauce was an unexpected treat! Will definitely be back
1st visit 2022 Great Sunday roast. Great choice of meat. Tons of veg, cauliflower cheese, greens, beans, roast potatoes, and more. Excellent value for money. Friendly staff.2nd visit 2023 even better this time around. Highly recommend this place.Service: 5/5
Never been to a most unpleasant pub in my life I was in there for over a hour then a bouncer told me I had to leave they said it was a private party but took my money and let me and my friends in when they found out we were from the traveller community they called the police I have never been so humiliated 2 police cars turned up because we asked why we had to leave totally a unpleasant pub even there own bouncers said it was unfair but because the landlady told him the get rid he was just doing his job I will be making a complaint to officials about it’s not right we have this to put up with this 5 woman on there own things will never change when there’s this kind of discrimination in a pub I’ve live 6 mile from Noteworthy details: Discrimination at its worst
Went for Sunday carvery today. Our 1st ever visit. What a beautiful place this is! Walked straight into the bar, which felt very welcoming. The chef was very welcoming and friendly, the food was amazing! The meats melted in our mouths! Eveything was delicious.. A definite must if you in the area. Will definitely return soon. Great food at amazing value
We were double booked at a different place & the crown came to the rescue! Thanks so much for your kind hospitality & saving our bacon and the breakfast bacon was delicious!. Comfortable room, good sleep & really friendly service. Will recommend & come back.Rooms: 5/5
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was nice. Unfortunately, there was very loud music playing on the patio well past 11pm the second night -- the volume really didn't have to be that loud. Had I known, I wouldn't have stayed the second night. Otherwise, the breakfast was excellent and the location was good for visiting the beaches in north Norfolk.
Fabulous sandwiches. Can't comment about the beer as I was on the wagon for the day. Very friendly.Service: 5/5
