Had driven past on many occasions but never stopped. Now that I have I'm glad I did. I had pie of the day lamb and ale with a side order of seasonal veggies and new potatoes for mid-week lunch Very well prepared. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. On site parking. Disabled access. Would probably book ahead if I was going for dinner or meals on weekends. See my pictures for internal decor. Press like if this review was helpful.
Had a lovely meal with my wife here on 7th March. Food was good, prices reasonable and good draught cider. We received very professional and friendly service from the waitress Sasha. A good evening for us. We will return when weather improves. We both had meat dishes that were tasty and well presented. I had a lovely profiterole desert, but I was advised by Sasha that there was a good cheese board.
Just had a beautiful family meal for 10 people. Absolutely amazing, from the pub to the food and waitress service. Especially enjoyed the fish and chips. Good portions and perfectly cooked. Would reccomend.Service: 5/5
A very nice place to go for a meal. Friendly staff and the food was good, with a decent portions sizes. Would recommend. Vegetarian options: A good selection of veggie options. I wish there had been a veggie pie option though.
What a wonderful place for a Sunday Roast. The staff were all incredibly friendly. The ambiance inside was nice. I will definitely go back.Food: 5/5
Came in for Sunday lunch and a pint. I can't help but be so negative, but this was the worst roast dinner me and my partner have had, we found it funny. Meat was dry, aunt bessy potatoes, Yorkshire puddings weren't fresh the general quality of food was like school dinner or hospital food. There was a big sign outside saying full time chef wanted, we should've taken that as a sign! Also, the Guinness was watery. Prices were £17 a roast plus £4.50 cauliflower cheese which didn't taste of cheese
Double rooms are on the small size and double beds seem to be snaller still and placed against the wall so if the person on the inside need to use the bath room, one up both up not ideal. This was the only down side. The food is quality, well prepared and presented, breakfast excellent as is the service, staff could not be more helpful.
We regularly come here for a midweek lunch. Delicious food & a warm welcome is always a good feature. Parking: A small carpark, but street parking available nearby.
