Really nice place. We recieved a professional and warm welcome from the manager who managed to balance the Covid regulations with a pleasant manner. We sat and ate good food at a comfortable table. Staff were friendly, socially distanced and helpful. Also, great value for money. Only too pleased yo recommend.
Great atmosphere, everyone’s really polite. Bright, stylish interior. But the reason we come back whenever we’re in Bakewell is because the food is awesome
Great pub with delicious food and atmosphere. The Manager, Lars, was kind enough to have a chat with us and give some local recommendations while we were in town. Definitely recommend!
Comfortable surroundings and excellent food well cooked. The staff were friendly and professional without being intrusive. Highly recommended
Chicken, ham and Leek pie was lovely but why do pubs always serve it with beef gravy?! Chicken flavour gravy is readily available. This faux pas was made up for by the bread&butter pudding
Called in last Thurs evening. Food was v good but small portions. Staff friendly until i queried why the doors were left open & the heating not working. Got told it was instructions from "above". & they cant do anything. What rubbish! I wont call again because i prefer not to eat with my overcoat on. Come on sort it out!
Great food, good selection of beers- covid safety measures in place, including a temperature check, which is a first. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Excellent thank you
We went for a cream tea after our wedding 27th Oct 2020. The Manager made every effort to make it special. Surprise bottle of prosecco waiting for us, free of charge, our own area so that we could take photos and an amazing selection of cakes which were beautifully presented and delicious
Comfortable and central popular pub- restaurant with friendly atmosphere. Large eating room with adjoining bar area. Main courses we tried were good. Puddings served v v v hot fruit-based, which was a shame but overall good experience.
