Just stayed for one night whilst attending a wedding. First impressions were very good. Greeted by a very pleasant young lady who booked us in and showed us to our room. Room was very clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. Generally the hotel/pub was very clean and well run. All the staff we spoke to were young, very pleasant and a credit to the company. Enjoyed a very nice lunch in the restaurant. Breakfast, again was very nice and served with a smile. What more could you ask for. I would definitely recommend this establishment.
The hotel is well known to us and standard of room and food is good. What let them down on my husbands latest visit was ill informed staff and lack of customer service We never received a confirmation of our booking, luckily nearer the date we rang to check only to find wrong dates had been reserved. Still didn’t receive email confirmation. Checking credit card statement I noticed we had been charged £100 for extra night. This had to be refunded. My husband did ask for invoice on checking out but was told not available However biggest problem was parking. Completely my husbands fault he parked in car park and didn’t read notice and hotel Reception didn’t prompt that unless you log in as guest car park is not free. We have just had to pay £100 parking fine. Yes it was my husbands fault but why does this hotel not mention when booking in? We have tried to speak to manager on 5/6 occasions, staff said he would ring back. Never happened. In the end my son in the area went to car park and read sign. Not impressed and won’t be returning
A great place. Leanne and Hayley who manage the place are fantastic. The room was really nice and the beds are really comfy. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Also breakfast was superb, I am vegetarian and there were plenty of options. I will definitely be back.
My friend and I visited today for lunch. What a lovely pub. The setting was lovely, the young lady serving us was friendly, polite and very helpful and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Because it was Friday we had fish and chips. It came beautifully presented and with the most delicious bread I’ve had for a long time.
Great stay last night. Had 2 rooms booked with friends. Rooms were clean and comfortable and bar/restaurant area was pleasant, it’s always a lovely place to stay in Corbridge. Staff were friendly and we especially loved young Andy who kept the bar open when we came back late from a wedding at Matfen. Very polite young man definitely would recommend this hotel and stay again
Exceptional establishment, great range of drinks and the food was outstanding. Service of the staff was on point and everyone was so friendly. Quaint, comfortable and pleasent place to while the hours away. This place also has bookable accommodation. There is a parking area also. We will definitely be back and cannot recommend this place enough to potential visitors. 5+ stars
Staff were welcoming and the food was lovely We had the Shnitzel it was very tasty. Well worth a visit..
Stopped here after visiting nearby Corbridge Roman town. Good pub food. Looked like a good selection of local beers but as I was driving couldn’t sample. Friendly staff.
Lovely find in Corbridge. Great looking starters and fairly typical main courses but nicely done. The deserts were divine. Good selection of beers, many local. Spacious and airy restaurant area, which accommodated 12 of us easily on one set of tables, with liads of other tabkes besides. I would thoroughly recommend.
Came for Sunday lunch and very disappointed. Stood at the bar for drinks over 5 mins not busy just got ignored by staff then I had to send my drink back as it was flat! Staff confirmed it happens often! Food took 45 mins to be served. Hardly any veg, 1 over cooked dry roast potato and Yorkshire pud was black! Won't be eating here again.
