Stayed 2 nights Fri & Sat. Central location, short walk from train station. Friendly welcome. Comfortable rooms, get a key to let yourself in the side door on an evening if you come in late. Breakfast lovely. Bar has a friendly homely atmosphere. Really nice owner/landlord. Will definitely be back. Thank you Golden Lion

Been loads of times and allways fantastic Food and service.

Warm welcome, friendly staff, excellent food, fine selection of alcohol and non alcoholic refreshments, spotless and relaxing.  It's good, very good. Eat and  drink like a Lion

Another good cheap pub food excellent service

Lovely, staff were friendly and food was delicious. Good portion size and the beef was outstanding. Will be back!
