My daughter went to Wheatley park. Diagnosed in year 9 with Autism and ADHD. Constantly being excluded for defiance. No timetable or strategies put into place to help her in school due to the school disbelieving she had special needs. School wouldn't even do a EHCP. Mrs Curtis permanently excluded her. Took it to independent panel and we got the exclusion quashed. There were and are kids do far worse than defiance and have not been excluded. School has definitely changed since i went there. Unfortunately the school focus on those pupils that thrive but those that have difficulty they would rather permanently excluded instead of helping......

Not really the schools fault, and it may have improved since I was a pupil there, but it was a tough school to be an individual in. It was a rough, large school, and easy to be lost among its large number of pupils. If you make friends easily and are good at fitting in you'll probably be fine.
